LEO AND MELANIE talked and chatted until most students came into the great hall.
"Hey Leo!" Jackson walked to where Leo and Melanie were sitting. "Melanie?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Hi Jackson" Melanie smiled at him.
"Not that I mind you sitting here.. but I think you forgot where your house is" Jackson said awkwardly.
"Oh don't worry, I know where my house is. Just came to say hi" Melanie shrugged.
"Cool, can you pass me the toasts?" Jackson asked, sitting in front of her.
"Sure" She gave him the plate of toasts. "I gotta go, I can see my friends right there" she pointed at her friends walking into the hall.
"Hey Ryan!" Melanie walked at her.
"Mel! Where were you? I forgot my brush and Tess has curly hair and Maddie was sleeping!" Ryan asked her, sitting in their table.
"You thought of me just because of a hairbrush?" Melanie raised her eyebrows, taking an egg to her plate.
"Nah, I didn't" Ryan pretended.
"She did" Tessa said, sitting next to Melanie.
"I didn't! Maddie tell her!" Ryan turned to Madison who sat next to her.
"Do you really want me to answer that?.." Madison asked sarcastically.
Just then, owls came crushing into the hall, each owl is holding a letter, throwing it in a student plate. Melanie heard that Ron Weasley got a howler from his mom, apparently he stole his dad car in the summer break and his mother just found out about it.
"Hello girls, I'm professor sprout if you don't know. I'm the head of Hufflepuff" a short lady with curly gray hair walked to their spot.
"Hi" Melanie said, watching as the professor pulled four scrolls off her pile and tapped them with her wand.
"Here are your timetables" She handed the four students the parchment. "These will show you what you go for each period" she explained.
"Okay, thank you" the four girls muttered as they each took their own timetable.
"Looks like we got Herbology" Madison said, not looking up from her timetable. "I don't even know what it means!"
"It's a plant lesson" Ryan answered her. "My sister told me about it.."
"Speaking of, did you talked to her yet?" Melanie asked her in a low voice.
