MELANIE POTTER DIDN'T really slept in the night of august 31t. She was too excited to finally go to Hogwarts.
The place everyone she knew talked about. Including the houses, meals, studies, memories and so much more that she just could keep going for hours.
Yes, she was too excited but also too scared. What if she's going to end up in Slytherin? A house her family and friends awfully disliked. To be honest, she didn't really understood why, she didn't mind to end up in there, her family opinions were the matter to her.
Eventually she ended up going to sleep in midnights, cuddling in her bed for the last time before going to Hogwarts.
"Guess what day it is!" She heard a male voice say, but Melanie didn't really paid attention to it, she just wanted to keep sleeping.
"Melanie get up!" She heard again, feeling the light turning on from her closing eyes.
"Go away I want to sleep" Melanie groaned, taking her blanket and pulling it all over her head.
"Mel it's September first get your lazy arse up!" She heard a younger male voice shout.
"Harry! Language!" It was a female voice this time.
"Sorry mom" her brother, Harry said.
"Okay, I'm up" Melanie gave up, rubbing her eyes, sitting up.
Once she opened her eyes, she saw a confetti sound popping, a cake and a few balloons.
"Jeez dad, you scared me" Mel puts her hand on her chest, seeing James opening the confetti. Harry held the balloons and Lily held the cake.
"My little girl is going to leave me!" James pushed Melanie into a hug.
"Dad get off" she tried to push him away with a smile on her face.
"And I'm not leaving! I'm going to write to you in like every hour" Melanie reminded him. James shrugged to himself, letting her go.
"Aww you really shouldn't do it, it's not a big deal" Mel told her mum and brother, taking her finger and tasting the cream.
"You didn't even brushed your teeth Mel" Harry raised her eyebrows at her.
"Shut up Harry" Melanie made a face.
"You guys are unbelievable" Lily laughed to herself before she took her daughter to a hug.
