THE START OF October brought with it a lot of winds, the wether also changed to more coolest one.
Melanie slowly got used to her period, Tessa was a lot of help, always giving her pads, somehow she always had one in her bag, even in classes.
Melanie always got used to Hogwarts. To the classes, the meals, waking every morning to the view of Hogwarts grounds, she just got used to it.
"Ryan, can I ask you a question?" Melanie asked Ryan while they sat in their dorm, Tessa and Madison went to the common room to study.
"Sure" Ryan said, laying on her bed, head to the ceiling, Melanie did the same.
"Is it weird that I'm starting to feel at home?" Melanie asked, staring at the carpet ceiling.
"What do you mean? We are at home!" Ryan said, finally glancing at the corner of her eye at Melanie. "I mean we practically live here.."
"Are you one hundred precent going home for the holidays? It's only two months away, but to know, still" Melanie turned her body to face Ryan.
"Yep" Ryan popped the 'p'. "I don't really have a chance."
"You still can come to my place" Melanie reminded her. "My parents will love you!"
"Mel it's not that I don't want to, I just can't" Ryan sighed.
"I know, sorry."
"Not your fault" Ryan said, turning to face the ceiling again.
"Wanna talk about happy things?" Melanie suggested, the eleven years old didn't really knew what to say.
"Sure" Ryan said.
"What is the weirdest thing you got for Christmas?" Melanie asked.
"You go first!"
"Fine. Um... I think it was the time my uncle brought me glasses that are actually one big straw" Melanie smirked to herself. "It was last year. Fun fact, they don't work that well."
Ryan snorted. "Glasses that are a straw? What is wrong with your uncle?"
"Believe me, only Merlin knows" Melanie laughed at the memory. "You?"
"Well mine isn't that funny as yours.., I was nine I guess, my great grandmother passed away and I got her teeth" Ryan scrunched her nose.
"Ew, what?!" Melanie turned her head quickly to look at Ryan who remained staring at the ceiling. "I know!"
