When we reached an Italian restaurant inside the mall, I couldn't mistake awkwardness for anything else!

Si Levi nakaupo sa harap namin, habang magkatabi kami ni Kai. We were sitting in a booth as the awkward silence continued. I don't even know how to break the silence between these two men. Ang hirap mangapa ng conversation that will make the tensed air go away.

When the waiter got our orders, tumahimik na naman. Pinipigilan ko gumamit ng phone because that will look bastos! Pero shocks, ang hirap kasi humanap ng topic!

Thankfully, as if he heard my internal turmoil, Levi cleared his throat. "Uuwi na kayo after this?"

Sasagot na sana ako but surprisingly, Kai answered. "Yes. I just accompanied Misha to the opening of that store."

Levi nodded and sipped on his water while giving me a knowing look. I frowned at him dahil hindi ko maintindihan ang tingin niya.

"Okay, that's good." Levi said before turning to me. "How's your review?"

I cleared my throat. "It was doing well, but we haven't formally started our review. Hinanda na muna namin ang mga kailangan aralin. Maybe tomorrow we'll start studying na."

"Marami naman pagkain sa bahay nila Bella, right?"

"Yes. We have the whole house to ourselves for two months."

He looked at me and I could see his curiosity. "Kayo lang? Walang ibang taong nandoon?"

"Yes nga!" I said.

He looked at me for a while before nodding. "Okay."

Hinayaan ko na siya at tumingin sa katabi ko. Kai sipped on his glass of water and raised his eyebrow at me when he saw me looking at him.

"Why aren't you talking?" I subtly whispered so the intruder won't hear.

"What do you want me to say?" He said in a serious voice.

I bit my lip and meekly shook my head. Mas lalo akong lumapit sa kanya kaya nakita ko na bahagya siyang natigilan.

"I'm sorry if he disturbed our day. I didn't know he'd come." I whispered to his ear.

He held my hand under the table that caused another stampede of heartbeats inside my chest. "It's okay. Kasama pa rin naman kita."

I was about to say something to him but Levi interrupted.

"You won't leave the house if you start the review, right?" Levi asked me.

I looked at him in confusion. "We're not on house arrest, Levi."

He chuckled. "What I mean is, oonti na lang ang gala niyo sa labas kapag mag rereview na, right?"

"Yes. Pero it depends." Kung yayain ako ng katabi ko.

"Okay. Uuwi na kayo after this?" He asked again.

"Oo nga! Are you sirang plaka ba?!" I said, getting irritated at his intrusive questions.

He chuckled and I heard Kai also slightly chuckled. I frowned. Pinagkakaisahan ba ako nitong dalawa?!

Levi stood up. "Okay. Aalis na ako."

"Huh? What about the food you ordered?!" I said because it was getting confusing na.

He chuckled at me. "Sorry, sweety. May on call ako. Next time na lang." I was about to say something pero parang nagmamadali siyang umalis ng restaurant.

What the hell is his problem? Sasabihin niyang treat niya pero tinakbuhan kami! Mierda!

Kai sighed beside me, making me look at him. He smiled, still holding my hand under the table. "Nasolo rin kita."
