Two Hearts, One Rhythm

Chapter 12

Our review for the upcoming board exams started. We're on our second week temporarily living in Bella's household and our parents were true to their words. Kami lang talagang tatlo ang nandito sa bahay. And, when I say it's a mess, it really is a mess.

"Paabot nga ako ng tape, natanggal ang dikit doon sa isang side!"

"My gosh, who wrote this? Ang pangit naman!"

"Is this the new formula? Hindi ba may new derivation of formula na binigay noon?"

"Oy! Ubos na Manila paper natin! Marami pa tayong hindi nasusulat!"

"Bakit wala nang tinta ang highlighters ko?!"

"Ay, sorry, sadya ko!"

"Kulang ang solution nito. This is not the final answer."

All of us were a mess! Ang daming nagkalat na gamit, plus Crim's voice! It's getting on my nerves! Kulang na lang mag sabunutan na kaming dalawa.

Instead of using Bella's room as our study room, her parents made one room vacant. Bella will sleep on her room, while tig isang guest room naman kami ni Crim. It's fine by me, baka magsipaan kami sa kama kung magkatabi kami!

Nagdidikit kami ng Manila paper ngayon sa bawat walls ng room. One week kami naghanap ng mga important details na naging vital sa academics namin noon. Formulas, theorems, important keywords, and even sample problems. On one side of the room, nandoon ang formulas. Opposite to that side, nandoon naman ang sample problems. Then another side for the keywords, and another on theorems and other important details.

There's no way for natural light na nga kasi tinakpan rin namin! After rolling the blinds down, we taped the Manila paper to them. May sofa set kaming nilagay sa gitnang room, and if we want to solve problems, sa lapag kami dahil walang table kaming nilagay! Literally, this only serves as a study room!

We're currently sitting on the floor, looking all over the artwork we created on the walls. Anyone would go insane just by looking at it, nasanay na lang kami dahil five years din naman namin inaral sila.

"Mag aaral na ba tayo? Inaantok ako." Crim said.

I snorted. "You taped Manila papers lang tapos inantok ka na?"

"Hoy! Nagsulat din ako, gago!"

"Kaya pala ang pangit!"

Bella frowned at us. "Stop na nga kayo."

I rolled my eyes at Crim. "Fine, pahinga na muna tayo. Baka wala rin tayong ma absorb if we force ourselves to study."

Bella nodded. "Yep! And, we still have a lot of time to study. Kaya natin 'to!"

Crim stood up and waved her hands to us. "Matulog na muna ako. Goodnight, girls." She said even though it's still the afternoon.

Bella also stood up and said she will stay in her room na to sleep na rin siguro.

I sighed while I continued to skim over the details we all wrote.

There was a time when I questioned whether this is truly what I wanted. All of a sudden, I will become confused and in a haze if this is worth it or if it will be worth it until the end.

I admire both Crim and Bella's perseverance to pursue their respective career paths, but mine was still in question. Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin ako sigurado.

Hindi ko rin naman masabi na napipilitan lang ako, because I enjoyed studying all of these with my girls. We made this college program easy because of our presence to one another. Hindi kami nag iwanan.

Maybe I was still not sure because there's a whole company waiting for me! Whereas, department heads kila Crim and Bella. Maybe I was thinking this way because CEO agad ang magiging work ko.
