CHAPTER 13.

THE NEXT DAY, I WOKE up with a massive headache na dinagdagan pa ng hampas ng unan ni Trisver sa ulo ko. That's how he wakes me up everyday because he said alarms didn't work for me anymore and it's getting hard to wake me up normally habang tumatagal.

Memories from last night flooded my brain, and I just groaned and rolled my eyes in disappointment when I remembered I kissed a stranger again. And thank fuck he didn't accept my drunken offer last night, dahil baka hindi lang ulo ko ang sasakit.

I went to school with my head still throbbing, pero hindi ko pinahalatang masakit pa rin ulo ko. We had a test, at nangopya na lang ako kay Roa, and he just let me. He was even the one who insisted I copy from him. Him doing that just made me see the progress in my mission properly.

Not that I care, anyway.

And him ignoring me went on for days. I think, it lasted for almost a week, na pati si Roa ay nakapansin na na pinapansin lang ako ni Kace kapag si Roa na mismo ang magsasabi pero kalaunan hindi na rin niya ulit ako papansinin.

It was Friday, and we were having our P.E. class at the school's gymnasium, at nandoon din pala ang section nina Kace dahil P.E. rin nila ngayon at ang P.E. nila ay basketball, kagaya ng sa amin.

"Montero! Pasa mo sa 'kin!"

My eyes found Kace, na nakasimangot pa rin at pawis na pawis habang dinidribble ang bola. He just nodded at his teammate at saka ipinasa sa kasama ang bola na kaagad naman nitong shinoot sa ring at nagka-three points sila.

He instantly smiled, his eyes forming into that annoying crescent shape again. And while he was running back to his position, he lifted his shirt's collar and brought it in between his lips, then he bent down and held his knee while waiting for the free throw to finish.

I clicked my tongue.

He chuckled. "What kind of "joke" was it for him to ignore you for days? He's not the kind of person who wouldn't forgive you for something trivial."

I just snorted and avoided the question.

He was standing in front of his classmate na kalaban niya sa laro. Foul daw.

I blinked when he suddenly turned his head at my direction, and our eyes met. His eyes were dark, and he looked angry.

"Okay, guys! Malapit na silang matapos. Simulan n'yo na ang stretching before we start our activity today! You can choose your partner for the by-partner stretching."
