Update

Hey there, everyone. It's been quite a while, hasn't it?

I'm not sure how many people will even see this post, since I finished writing this story over SIX years ago, but there are still people who are finding and reading this story to this day, and for that I want say thank you!

So you're probably wondering why I'm posting this update? Well the reason I am is because I wanted to tell all of you that I am working on a story.

Going back and rereading this story made me realize that I could've written this story a lot better. Of course I was six years younger at the time and I was a terrible writer, but looking back at it I realized that this story had a lot more potential than what I did with it.

You can also tell by reading it that I didn't really have a coherent plot throughout the story and I was just coming up with stuff as I wrote. Again, I was much younger at the time, but still I can't help but wonder how much better the story would've turned out if I had put more effort into it.

So with that, I am here to announce that I am working on a retold version of this story! It will have some similarities, but it will also be very different! Honestly, I've been very excited to rewrite this story for a long time, I just never knew how I wanted to do it.

Now, in terms of when I'll be publishing the first chapter, that I can't tell you. In order to make sure I don't make the same mistakes twice, I want to make sure I have the entire plot of the story figured out before I publish anything, which I don't yet.

I also want to make sure that I don't start publishing a story and then get Writer's Block and never finish it, like what happened with Birth of the Blaze Rods. You guys deserve a full story, so I'm not going to post anything until I know for sure I can give you guys the full story.

I'm also not sure how many people are even gonna see this. Could be a lot of people, could only be one or two, I have no idea. But if you guys are interested in this retold story, please let me know! It'll definitely give me more motivation to write.

A few more things: I don't plan on deleting this story. Despite some of the issues I had with it, it was my original idea and a lot of you guys seemed to like it, so there's no reason for me to.

And also, I do have an idea for an official sequel to this story. It would be a shorter story since I plan on dedicating my full time on the rewrite of this story. The sequel would put Steve front and centre as he tries to reunite with Alex, and Jesse wouldn't be in it. The sequel will also take place after this story, and not the retold version I'm writing right now, since it will be very different.

But anyways, I just wanted to post this so you guys know that I am working on something, so let me know if you're interesting in reading this retold version of Betrayed!
