Chapter 15: Redemption

Jesse walked into the throne room but didn't see anybody. "Jesse!" A voice called from behind him. "Reginald?" Jesse confirmed. "You're alive! Is the founder okay?" Reginald questioned. "She's fighting outside." Jesse told him. "Well I have to be there too!" Reginald said before picking up the Eversource and running out of the building. Jesse looked around but saw no sign of Aiden. It took him a few minutes to find him and when he did, he noticed that Aiden was stranded on a 1x1 block and couldn't get out. "Aiden." Jesse began. "Jesse. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for causing all this trouble. I thought you were in on it when they killed my friends. Can you get me out of here?" Aiden asked. "Tell me first, what happened here?" "I was hoping you'd never ask." Aiden sighed.

Flashback
Petra kicked the door open and looked around. She immediately noticed Aiden sitting on the throne, with Reginald arguing with him. Aiden saw Petra and his rage began to boil. "You. YOU!" Aiden screeched. Petra smirked. "Hello, Aiden. How are you?" Aiden clenched his fists. "How dare you talk to me like that! I'll make you regret those words!" Aiden shouted, his eyes looking like they were ready to pop out. "Ohhh, is someone being grumpy?" Petra teased. "RAHHHHH!" Aiden screamed and threw a blaze egg at Petra. Petra jumped up and sliced the blaze twice, killing it. Aiden jumped at Petra and his sword connected with hers. "You ruined my life!" Aiden yelled at her. "I know. Isn't it great?" Petra replied. "Take this!" Aiden threw another blaze egg at Petra and ran outside. Petra killed it quickly and walked outside.

Petra and Aiden stood in the rain, their enchanted swords glowing in the darkness. Without a word, Aiden bolted at Petra and swung his sword at her, which she easily dodged. He swung again, this time barely missing and cutting a small part of her hair. "My hair! Okay, that's it. I was going to let you live, but then you go and do something stupid like that." Petra said while she looked at Aiden hatefully. Petra quickly ran at Aiden and sliced at him, hitting his chest. Aiden yelled in pain as he tried to attack Petra but her sword hit his and she knocked his sword out of his hand and threw it over the edge.

Aiden had a look of fear as Petra slowly walked toward him. He backed up until his feet hit the edge and he couldn't back up anymore. "Hold on! I surrender! I surrender!" Aiden blurted out. "Good choice." Petra replied. "Here! You wanted the flint and steel back right? Take it, it's yours!" Aiden threw the flint and steel in front of her and got down on his knees. "Thanks, Aiden. I won't kill you now. What I will do is mine out this part of the bridge and leave you stuck here forever." Petra said while mining out the bridge, leaving Aiden trapped. She then took off and ran out of the room.
Flashback end

"And that's it." Aiden concluded. Jesse looked down before he pulled out cobblestone and built a way for Aiden to get out. "Thank you, Jesse!" Aiden thanked him. "Walk ahead of me. I still don't trust you. Yet." Aiden walked in front of him with his hands up as they exited the palace. They noticed Ivor and Steve still fighting off the monsters. Steve was slicing at zombies while Ivor threw potions at everything. Jesse grumbled and kicked Aiden, motioning for him to keep moving. "And stay there!" Ivor yelled at Aiden. Isa jumped and sliced a blaze, with her iron swords. "You retrieved the Eversource?" Isa asked. "Yes ma'am!" Reginald replied.

Petra, Olivia, and Axel snuck inside a wrecked house. "Well, we're definitely recognized as the criminals now." Axel sighed. "Damn that Jesse!" Petra snarled. "What do we do?" Olivia questioned the other two. "If Jesse survived, then there must be something down there. Let's jump for it." Petra said. "Are you insane?" Olivia screamed. "We can't stay up here much longer! And plus, if Jesse is still alive, then it must be safe!" Petra jumped off and down the waterfall, followed by Olivia and Axel. Luckily, Milo saw them jump off. "Everyone, stay together!" Milo lead his people through the chaos. "Petra and the two stooges jumped off the island!" Milo yelled. Isa killed a few more monsters then turned to Jesse. "Jesse, there's no way we can fight off these monsters and protect my people!"
