This chapter will explain the encounter with Lukas and Aiden and what happened. Please enjoy!
Lukas was frozen as he saw Aiden. His face was pale, he was coughing a lot and he had a hole through his stomach. "Aiden?" Lukas assured. "Lukas.....help......me......" Aiden said, his voice completely dried out and he fell forward and passed out. "Aiden!!" Lukas yelled. He picked Aiden up and carried him to his spare bed and lay him down. "His condition is worsening!" Lukas started to panic. "I hope this works." Lukas told himself as he grabbed a potion of regeneration and gave it to Aiden. "Aiden, drink this" Lukas shook him awake and put the potion at his mouth and let him drink. Aiden swallowed it and fell back asleep. Lukas sighed in relief as he saw the potion begin to take effect. "Aiden, what happened?" Lukas asked, even though he knew he'd get no response.
8 hours later...
Lukas shook Aiden awake. He was just as loud of a sleeper as he remembered. Aiden slowly pulled himself up but winced in pain and held his stomach. The potion of regeneration was able to heal most of his wounds, except for the hole in his stomach. "L-Lukas?" Aiden questioned, still in pain. Lukas glared at him. "Why don't you start with a thank you?! Even after you, Gill and Maya ditched me, I still saved you!" Lukas was mad as he remembered when the three ditched him and renamed themselves the blaze rods. "I know, I'm sorry. I couldn't control what I was saying." Aiden replied, apologetically. "You expect me to just befriend you after all that you put me through?" Lukas angrily asked. "No" Aiden said.
Lukas noticed that Gill and Maya weren't with him. "By the way, where's the others?" Lukas asked, wondering if they ditched him too. Aiden began to tear up when he heard Lukas mention his friends. Lukas immediately knew something was wrong because he's never seen Aiden cry before. "Gill and Maya...." Aiden began. ...are dead." Aiden said before he began to cry. Lukas opened his eyes wide. "Aiden, I'm sorry." Lukas said as he put a hand on Aiden's shoulder. Lukas also felt sad too. Even though they ditched him, he remembered all the good times they had as a team. "What happened to them? And you?" Lukas asked. "Jesse. and his friends killed them. And Petra nearly killed me." Aiden said, not wanting to remember what happened. "How could they do such a thing?" Lukas snarled. "So, tell me the whole story." Aiden sighed. He didn't want to, but he felt Lukas deserved to know for what he put him through. "It all started when we heard about a very rare emerald..."
Flashback
"Is the village close?" Aiden asked Maya. "We're almost there" Maya responded while looking at her map. "Hopefully, we'll get there before THEY do" Aiden said, enraged. "Why can't we just have one treasure?" "Don't worry, Aiden I think we beat 'em this time!" Maya said, as she saw the village in the distance. "When I get my hands on that emerald..." Aiden smirked. "BLAZE RODS!" Gill yelled. "Shut up, Gill!" Aiden growled at him. "Sorry" Gill replied. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Aiden and the loser rods" Aiden turned around to see Petra taunting them and Olivia and Axel next to her, glaring at them. "Hahaha! We're the losers? Says you!" Aiden laughed. "Where's Jesse?" Maya questioned. "We did what was best and got rid of him!" Axel yelled. Petra gritted her teeth in anger at the thought of Jesse.
"Who cares! Now that they're one person short, we can take them on!" Aiden declared. "BLAZE RODS!!!" Gill screamed as he pulled out his enchanted sword and charged at Axel. Axel easily blocked it with his arm and threw a powerful punch at Gill which caused him to fly back and land on the ground. Maya ran at Olivia with her sword. Olivia took our her bow and shot at Maya which she deflected it off her sword. Petra and Aiden both took out their swords and charged at each other. "Aiden, this is the end!" Petra declared. "That's where you're wrong!" Aiden responded.
The Blaze Rods were fighting a losing fight. Even without Jesse, they're still able to get the upper hand, it's almost as if they improved without him. Gill tried to attack Axel, but it ended the same way he was sent to the ground once more. This time, Axel took out a piece of TNT and threw it right next to Gill. Gill tried to get up and run, but he was unable to and the TNT detonated right beside him. "AHHHHHHH!" Gill screamed. Aiden and Maya turned around to the scream and explosion and looked in horror as they saw Gill's lifeless body lying in a small crater. "GILL!!!" Aiden yelled. "You'll pay for that!" Aiden screamed in rage and ran at Petra. "Not likely" Petra replied. Maya attacked Olivia with her sword which she dodged. Olivia shot two arrows at both of Maya's knees, causing her to fall down, unable to stand. Olivia then took aim at Maya's head and fired one more arrow, finishing her off.
Aiden looked to his right and saw Olivia kill Maya. "MAYA!!!" Aiden yelled. His face was covered in tears as he looked at both of his friends dead bodies. "THAT'S IT!" Aiden attacked Petra but she easily dodged, and then swung her sword right through Aiden's stomach. Aiden screamed in pain as Petra yanked the sword out of him and he fell to the ground. He held his stomach in pain and he looked up and saw Petra putting a foot over him. "Who's the loser now?" Petra spoke in a dark tone. "Now you're all alone, like you deserve to be!" Petra said before laughing sinisterly. "Damn you......" Aiden said before he passed out.
Flashback end
"And that's it." Aiden finished. Lukas was in shock, he wouldn't ever think someone like Petra would do something like that. "I can't believe I actually had feelings for her...." Lukas thought. "Okay, Aiden I'll let you stay here." Lukas said sympathetically. "Maybe we should take things easy." Lukas suggested. "Easy? They murdered my friends and you want to take it easy?" Aiden snapped. "Easy does it, Aiden I didn't say this instant." Lukas said, trying to calm Aiden down. "You know, if you were there with us, maybe they would still be alive!" Aiden yelled at Lukas. "But Aiden-" Lukas tried to approach him but he opened the door and ran off. "Aiden! Come back!" Lukas tried but Aiden was already out of sight.
"Now what am I gonna do?" Lukas asked himself as he started to walk through the thick jungle. "When I see Jesse and his gang, I'll make them pay." Lukas growled. He continued walking through the trees and ducking under vines when he stopped. He heard a familiar voice not too far away. "This is so exciting! Ha ha ha! Adventure!" It was Ivor, and with him was a man and dog he didn't recognize, and Jesse. Jesse. Lukas hid behind a tree and drew his sword, preparing to attack.
Well, Aiden has lost his mind, and Lukas thinks Jesse was a part of it! See you next chapter!
