Scott's Perspective-

"And h-he got up and s-stormed off towards G-Grian and Scar." Scott sobbed.

"He s-said that I d-didn't know what it f-felt like when the b-boy I like leaves after they k-kissed me."

Scott was crying and hugging Tom in his room after school that day.

Tom was a very calming person and a good listener.

"A-and I do know w-what it feels like!" Scott complained, "Ever since E-Eliot!"

"But does Jimmy know that story?" Tom asked quietly.

Scott hesitated and shook his head.

"I-I was going to t-tell him, but he c-cut me off and s-stormed away."

Tom nodded.

"You just have to talk to him about Eliot and ask him out to the dance."

"Y-you saw me earlier t-today. I c-can't."

"You just need to try again. I've spoken to Grian- "

"You've W-WHAT?!"

Tom nodded, "I told Grian about how I like someone else, and I asked him about Jimmy, or as he calls him, Tim."

"You have n-not." Scott said in disbelief as he sat up and wiped his eyes.

"Look, you need to get over this."

"E-easy for you to say. Y-You've never been in a bad relationship and g-gotten c-cheated on. Heck you're s-struggling with asking out X-Xornoth to the dance!"

Tom froze and blushed.

"We..." He cleared his throat, "We don't talk about that." He mumbled.

Scott chuckled.

"I've been doing all I can to help you out, Scott." Tom said on a more serious note, "But only you have the power to ask Jimmy out, I can't force you to do that."

Scott looked down at his hands and sighed.

"He h-hates me now."

"He doesn't hate you. He just doesn't know the truth of the situation yet. You know... about Eliot."

"He can't know about E-Eliot. I can barely hold a conversation a-about him without b-breaking down in tears. And he b-broke up with me a year ago!"

"But he hurt you a lot and that pain will never leave until you explain to Jimmy and let him help you. He will understand."

Scott shook his head.

"Besides, how am I s-supposed to talk to him?"
Tom took out his phone, smirking, and went into his contacts.

"W-what are you d-doing?" Scott asked, peaking at Tom's phone.

Tom clicked Jimmy's contact and called him.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Scott shouted but
Tom shushed him since Jimmy had answered.

After a second of silence, Tom said hello and put Jimmy on speaker.

"What do you want." Jimmy asked rudely.

Tom sighed, "Didn't Grian tell you that I don't like Scott?"

"He just said that you like someone else."

"Yeah, I do. I like Xornoth, alright. Leave me alone; all I am is Scott's friend." Tom snapped, "So you're going to listen to what Scott has to say here and what the heck he's going through because of this situation you guys are in."

Tom handed the phone to Scott, got up and left.

"No." Scott said softly so only Tom could hear.

But Tom smiled encouragingly to him and left.
Scott sighed.

"Scott?" Jimmy asked, confused.

Scott took a deep breath.

"H-hey Jim." Scott said, trying not to sound sad.

"Have- have you been crying?" Jimmy asked, sounding concerned.

"Er- yeah but I'm f-fine- "

"What happened?" Jimmy asked.

"It's just..."

It's Eliot.

Jimmy was waiting patiently for Scott to continue.

"It's Eliot." Scott whispered.

"Who?" Jimmy asked, taken aback.

"Eliot. My..." Scott took another deep breath, "My ex."

There was a piercing silence, but Scott broke it by crying.

"Wait Scott, where- where are you right now?"

"H-home." Scott said through his tears.

"Alright, I'll be a second." Jimmy hung up and Scott was left confused and hurt.

Tom knocked on his door.

"Hey Scott, want some tea?" Tom asked as Scott opened the door.

"Jimmy hung up." Scott said, crying.

Tom hugged him and apologized.

"Maybe you weren't meant to be. But hey, I'm happy. Maybe this will help you get over him."

Scott huddled up on the couch, an absolute mess.

His eyes were red from crying so much, and his head was leaning on Tom's shoulder as he drank the warm tea.

Tom was rubbing Scott's back, trying to calm him down.

Tom was like an older brother who always cared about Scott.

"It- it's all my fault." Scott said, blowing into a tissue, "It always is."

"No, it's not." Tom said softly.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Tom got up to answer it and gasped.

"I'm here for Scott." Scott heard a familiar voice say.

Scott hiccupped in surprise.

Jimmy?!
