GIA POV
To be back in my own place was an amazing feeling. Never-mind it smelt like death in here. Opening all the windows so air could get in and take this smell away. Pushing open the bathroom door and memories flooding back on that night.
Seeing the mess I left... the bathroom will definite be the first spot I start cleaning in. Maybe if I get some colorful things to put around the depression won't come back so early on.
Playing music and just trying to uplift this place so it could make me happy.
I had work at seven. So it gave me time to do something in the meantime.
All the mail that collected over the time frame of me not being here. Just glancing through it I saw a letter from and odd place. Opening it... it had to do with the hotel.
Someone sent me files of things having to do with that night. Looking around to see if someone was maybe watching me. That's when paranoia set in.
There's cctv pics of someone's car... and a person walking to and from the basement.
Then there's a close up to the license plate of the car. Squinting my eyes trying to make out the letters and numbers. Once it hit me I dropped everything. The room started spinning.
But why?!.
Can't be true...
Grabbing all I had I got in my car and raced to where Delano would be. My thoughts were all over the place. Feeling super emotional I pulled over and just cried.
Maybe if I had actually had the balls to kill myself when I was younger no one would be harmed.
Wiping my face and just looking around before driving again. Reaching delanos beach I got out and walked into his office. Not a care in the world my eyes were puffy or I looked like shit.
He looked up "Gia?".
Seeing him walk towards me I just sat down in the chair in a daze. "Gia are you okay?" He dramatically asked.
I nodded and just handed him the papers... he scanned them and wide eyes me how did you get this?".
"It was mailed to me" I answered.
"Gia do you realize this is what we needed to solve who burned down the hotel?" He asked.
I nodded again "I know who it was".
"Who was it?" He asked.
"Bria" I answered lowly.
He gasped "are you sure about this?!".
I nodded "it's her car and license plate... everything that's there is her".
"But why?" He asked.
I shrugged... "I don't know... but her rage murdered a real friend of mine... and for what?".
He hugged me "I'm sorry Gia".
"I've already cried on the way her out of guilt. Feeling if maybe I didn't work there those people who died in that fire would still be alive" I said.
He made me look at him "this isn't your fault by any means".
"Now what do we do?" I asked.
"First I need to know who sent you this? Then we will let Brad know and then Bria will be dealt with" he said.
"You make it sound so easy... but Bria would be so easy to obtain" I said.
"Gia I need you to completely stay away from Bria. At this point she's dangerous and who knows what she will do next" he said.
"If I'm correct she's coming after us next. She wants you! But I'm here instead so you know what maybe we shouldn't be together... it's too risky" I said.
Delano wasn't happy about what I said... "gia I can't honestly say you are my soulmate. And if Bria wants to come... let her... but I won't let you go because of her. I refuse to lose you".
That brought tears to my eyes again... he gently grabbed my face and kissed me. That magnetic pull was strong this time.
