29.

DELANO POV

Gia and I raced down to see Brad and his father but we were catching every red light. Bria had to be stopped before someone else gets hurt.

"Delano slow down... we can't go any faster anyway" Gia said.

"Just trying to get there in a hurry" I said.

Feeling someone hit us from behind. Gia quickly turned around "shit".

"Who is that?" I asked.

"Now would be a great time to drive as fast as you can... that Bria she must've known we know about what she did" gia said.

Not waiting for the light to change... pressing the gas we flew right on by. Bria followed right behind us.

Gia looked a little concerned as she started picking at her nails.

"We will be okay... trust me" I said.

She glanced at me with a very worrisome look and gave me a small. Placing my hand on her thigh for comfort. Her hand went on top to mine but with a squeeze.

Still driving erratic trying to get to our destination but in one piece. That's when Bria side swiped my car causing me to swerve.

"She's crazy!" Gia said.

"Just bare with me for a little longer. We are almost there" I said.

That's when my car swerved off the road and went into an embankment. Grabbing onto Gia as the car went down so she wouldn't get hurt as much. Once we slammed into the ditch I slowly moved myself and Gia was unconscious.

Trying my best to free myself but I couldn't move my right side.

Seeing Bria walking up to my side of the door she smiled "see this wouldn't happen if Gia would just listen! That's the one things that pisses me off!". She opened my door "I'm willing to save you so come on".

"No I'm good. Gia needs more Help than me right now" I said.

She laughed "I'm not helping Gia. She can die for all I care. But you, I'm extending my hand".

Turning to his who had a gash on her head that was bleeding. Moving her slightly but she was completely knocked out. But she's still breathing thank god.

"Are you dumb? She's done for. She'll probably bleed to death anyway. Now you have a chance let me help you" Bria said.

"Don't touch me you sick fuck" I said.

"You don't mean that! Come on" she reached in to grab me but I moved over some more. She got upset "you know what fuck this! I try to help but you rather die with Gia. What the duck is it about her that men just drop to her feet? She's poor and damaged. Who wants that?!".

Before I even realized Bria came with a rock and slammed me in the head causing me to black out.

There was this beeping noise that was constantly going on and it was annoying to hear. Forcing my eyes to open I see a bright light. Blinding me I closed my eyes again.

"Delano?! Hey! It's your sister" I heard.

Opening my eyes again... but much slower I see a blurred vision coming to. My sister stood over me smiling "you're up! Thank god!".

Clearing my throat as hard as I can "where am
I?".

"The hospital! Someone found you on the side of the road" she answered.

Feeling confused...

"Look it's a lot to deal with but you're alive. Luckily that passer by motorist saw you" she said.

Trying to sit up but I couldn't "was I alone? I don't remember going outside".

"Yup you were alone! The doctor said you wouldn't remember anything due to your head injury. But it's fine!" She said.

"A head injury? How?" I asked.

She shrugged "all I know that injury was pretty serious it struck a nerve on your right side hence why you can't sit up. But the doctor said over time that'll go away".

What she was saying didn't make sense to me but I guess so.  I don't remember stepping out my home to go outside. Last thing I remember I bought property of a beach that I wanted to fix up and make money from.

Blinking at my sister...

"You'll be fine Delano. Before you know it you'll be back at that beach fixing it up" my sister said.
