Oct. 16th (Monday)
After I got finished getting dressed, I quickly sent Jake a text that I thought it was best if I drove myself to school. It took him a little bit to text back and all he texted back was okay. I just put my hair in a ponytail for school and when I went to grab my black jacket before leaving the house, I saw it wasn’t there then I remembered I probably forgot it in Jake’s truck due to what happened when we got back Saturday night. I was surprised Lena or Courtney wasn’t waiting on me when I got to school. It was cold outside and I tried to walk fast towards where I knew Jake and them would be at. When Harrison saw me, he cleared his throat really loudly then Jake, Lewis, and Keith looked to see me. Jake quickly got up leaving behind two coffee cups that was on the table in front of him and walked towards me.
“Why aren’t you wearing a jacket?” He asked shaking his head at me.
“It’s in your truck.” I said as I stopped in front of him.
“Huh, I didn’t notice. Here take my jacket. I’m wearing a thermal undershirt so don’t you dare say no Abby.” He said before taking off his dark blue jacket with the high school mascot on it since it was a baseball jacket then he held it out towards me.
I took off my backpack and he grabbed it before I could put it on the ground then I took the jacket. I put it on and immediately smelled his Versace Eros cologne with the mint leaves being the strongest scent. He didn’t hand my backpack back to me instead he turned and walked towards the table. I shook my head before following him. The jacket was really big on me and I put my hands in the pockets to warm up my hands.
“The coffee is still hot; it should help warm up your hands.” He said after I sat down beside him and putting one of the cups of coffee in front of me.
I didn’t say anything, I just grabbed the cup of coffee and he was right the cup was still hot. I drunk some of the coffee to see it was White Chocolate Mocha Caramel.
“You guys seen Lena or Courtney yet?” I asked after drinking a little bit more of the coffee.
“No, not yet.” Lewis said and I nodded my head.
“Courtney seemed to have a great time with Hank at the dance.” Keith said as I felt something touch my right hip.
I jumped a little bit because I wasn’t expecting it then I saw Jake put his right arm back by his side which made me put together what happened.
“I’m…” I started to say.
“It’s fine.” He said without looking at me then drinking some of his coffee.
Keith and them looked at us as Jake kept drinking his coffee.
When Lena and Courtney finally showed up, they gave Jake and me a look. I shook my head then they looked away. When the bell rung to go to first period, I got up and grabbed my backpack before grabbing the cup of coffee since I wasn’t done with it. Jake walked away without waiting on me even though our first classes aren’t that far from each other.
“Girl what happened?” Courtney asked as we walked towards our first class.
“I didn’t know he put his arm around my waist, I felt something touch my right hip and I jumped/ flinched whatever you want to call it.” I said and she nodded her head.
“And the jacket?” She asked pulling on the sleeve of Jake’s jacket.
“Mine is in his truck; I forgot it was there until this morning when I was getting ready to leave for school. He had wanted to pick me up but my dad is still in one of his moods over us dating so I texted Jake that I thought it would be best for me to drive myself to school so I showed up here without a jacket. He gave me his jacket and told me I couldn’t turn it down because he was wearing a thermal undershirt.” I said and she nodded her head.
