After the guards had drove her to an estate, she was escorted inside so she wouldn't escape from their custody. When she was walking around the home, she noticed the items that were inside the house to see things that gave her an uneasy feeling or things that reminded her of the cross or the Royal Merchant. Most of them were ancient artifacts that Lila didn't know of.

Soon after, she was taken to a room in the house with one of the guards walking her there. Once they reached the room, the guard opened the door before shoving the girl inside of the room. "Inside."

Lila's eyes scanned the room to see that it was a perfectly set bedroom which made Lila worried. She looked back at the guard who had walked her in, thinking about what could happen to her. "Why am I here?"

"Dinner at eight." The guard spoke, not answering her question. "I'd clean up."

...

Listening to the guard's orders, she cleaned up for this mysterious event. She took a nice, warm bath, feeling relieved that she was having an actual bath for the first time in a month.

After the shower, she realized that she had no clothes except for her dirty ones. She proceeded to search the room for clothes when she found a large wardrobe that was filled with different fancy outfits. She looked at the different outfits, finding them all beautiful when she found a short, black dress. It reminded her of her midsummer dress, but just shorter.

After getting ready, Lila had waited in the room for an hour. She just looked at the stuff in the room, thinking about what to steal before she leaves. She could tell that the person who owned the house was rich so she didn't really care as much as she should've.

Finally, she heard a knock on the door, making her jump up from her spot on the bed. She patted down her dress, feeling it rise up on her thighs before she noticed that the housekeeper had entered the room. "He's ready."

The housekeeper led Lila out of the room and walked her to the lower floor of the estate. Lila continued to follow the woman around the house until she paused at one of the rooms, gesturing for Lila to enter. The brunette sent the woman a polite smile as she entered the room.

She stepped into the room farther when she noticed a man pouring a cup of alcohol for himself. She thought it was the owner of the house so she decided to call to him. "Uh, excuse me?"

The man turned towards Lila only to reveal that it was Rafe Cameron in the flesh. Lila, afraid at the presence of him, grabbed onto one of the nearby liquor bottles, holding it up to keep Rafe away. "You."

"Ms. Routledge, please put the bottle down." Another voice joined them from the other section of the room.

Lila obeyed the person's orders, feeling somewhat safe now that she knows someone else is in the room with them. Once she placed the bottle back down, she turned towards the person to see an unfamiliar man. "I'm sorry, who are you?"
