Chapter 3: Maybe

Rydel POV

"Which dress? The pink with the black belt, or the black with a white belt?"

"I choose the pink with you know." Laura said.

"Great!" I gave Laura a high five.

"Now which one should I get: the black white striped dress, or the yellow polka dot shirt?"

"The dress."

I was always wanting to ask Laura if she likes Ross. Hopefully yes. Today is going to be a good day! I'm going to ask Laura and I'm going to!

"Rydel, why are you punching your fists up in the air?"

"Oh, because I'm getting this dress." Which was a lie.

"Okay." Laura smiled.

"Okay so where do you wanna eat at today?"

Laura POV

I don't feel specific about eating today. Usually I am but not so much today. I'm just having a great time with my best friend.

"Doesn't matter to me." That was true.

"Ok, what about Maya's Barbecue? It seems good and no one is in there right now. We better get a seat before rush hour."

"Ya true."

Rydel POV

We get to the waitress.

"How many?"

"Two. Booth please."

"Ya whatever."

The problem was the waitresses were very rude. Laura looked at me with the "rude much?" face.

She sits us, I get my tutu straight. I can't stand on sitting my tutu.

"What do you want to drink?"

"Can I have some Sprite?" Laura asks.

"Of course!"

"I'll have sweet tea with extra sugar." I like my tea really sweet.

"Ok have you decided what you want to eat?"

Laura nodded to me yes.

"Yes, I'll have Barbecue sandwich. And with calf fries."

"Same with me, please."

"Ok Ill just take these menus."

After she left, Laura and I talked about randomly things. But I decided that I should ask now.

"Hey Laura, I have a funny question to ask."

"Ok Rydel, what is it?"

"Do you like my brother, you know Ross? I was just wondering. Remember you can tell me anything. "

"Ok... Maybe."

"What's maybe?"

"Yes and no. Well I like everything about him. I just think he should ask me to be his girlfriend. It kinda helps me decided a lot more."

"Oh, so you do like him?"

"Rydel, I said maybe!"

Laura POV

Maybe I do like him but I don't want to tell him. It would ruin our friendship. I don't want that to happen. He's like my best friend. Besides Rydel. I mean that'll be a lot of pressure you know? Too much pressure means really nervous me.
