Chapter 37: Rocky's Trying

Rocky POV

I sit staring at my guitar. Its really over. We always thought that doing the band was just for the music. Of course it's for the music but now I get even more why I loved it.

It wasn't just me. It was my family. They were with me. They were apart of the whole journey. From the first moment we realized Ellington was perfect for the drummer, to the last where we all had our disagreements. It's not just Ellington's fault that he quit.

It was all of us. We never even took a minute to realize what the heck was happening.

I got up and went into the living room where Riker was watching Pirates Of The Caribbean. Of course he was quoting every word. I sat and thought of what I could say to him. Hey lets get the band back together. No that's just too pushy.

"Rocky why are you staring at me?" Riker asks. Oops.

"I was thinking-"

"Go away." Riker says. I bite my tongue. He looks at me waiting for me to move. I don't. "Rocky, please just go away." He says now being calm.

"No. I miss everybody. I miss how we all used to laugh and smile and be all fun with each other. We have our moments but we just can't break up the band Riker! It's apart of me! I know for damn sure that its apart of you! You started all of this! Riker you made Rydel, Ryland, Ross, and I practice when we were all little! You believed in all of this! We can't just give up!" I blurt out bursting into tears not even thinking. "Look at us now."

Riker was silent for a minute. More like ten minutes. Finally he stood up.

"Okay." Was all he said. He stared into space. "We were chasing the dream. Well, my dream. I didn't want it to end. Rocky, I agree with you." He says after another minute.

"Talk to me." I poke Rydel. She sighs and gets out of bed with her eyes puffy. Ellington has been in Wisconsin and he and her have been drifting apart. Rydellington needs to stay. Rydel needs Ellington.

I sat on her bed and hug her. Rydel also has been no where but her room. She refuses to go out. She also refuses to let anyone in her room but mom and dad. Which I was not following her rules which I didn't care.

"Why are you in here?" Rydel asks confused.

"Well... I want you to be back in the band." I say. Suddenly, she gets a pillow and hits me and starts crying. It must be her time. "I know you and Ell aren't talking that much and you haven't moved out. But I'm your brother. You can't just avoid me. I need my big sister." I do puppy dog eyes. She softly smiles and hugs me.

"Im sorry I haven't been there for you. I miss my piano. I really do. I miss R5Family. I miss.. The band." She states then gets mad. "It was stupid how we just gave up over a stupid argument!" I can see where this is going. I must admit: This is making it really hard nit to smile. "Lets get-"

"THE BAMD BACK TOGETHER!" I yell making her jump.

"No I mean lets get breakfast but that too." She smile and laughs.

I. Rock. Wait of course I rock my name is Rocky.
