Chapter 16: Rydellington Moments

Rydel POV

My family went to the bowling alley..... Without me. I was by myself with my twisted ankle. Which I think it's twisted. I was watching Tangled Ever After when I heard a doorbell. I hop over to the door and open it. It was Ratliff. He gasped and suddenly picked me up and carried my bridal style back to the couch.

"You are not getting up missy! We will NOT let you get hurt again!" He says making me giggle. I reach out to get my Gatorade when he gets it for me.

We say there quietly watching Tangled Ever After. When it was over, I sat there bored. Ratliff gets up and gets out something. He gets out a pink mustache and a black mustache.

"Pink for you, black for me." He says putting my mustache on. I give him a thumbs up and he winks at me.

He put his on and got out a camera. He snapped a picture of us in mustaches and I smiled. The next photo I kissed him on the cheek. He laughs and kisses my cheek the next. I try my hardest not to blush.

After that, we played checkers. I won as always. Sometimes I think he lets me win. I turn on my favorite songs: Pour Some Sugar On Me, and Shut and Let Me Go. I start singing to them and Ratliff gets his drumsticks. (Which he brings them everywhere he goes) He plays them on the coffee table and I play my keyboard which was by the couch.

At the end, we were jamming out. Ratliff always makes everything so much better.

He gets a text. I can tell it's his girlfriend Calley by the Name Of Contact. It said "Calleythemostmustachegirlever". I thought I was. Hm.

"Sorry Delly. I got to go. I have a date with Calley at the movies. Hope you get better NOW!! Love you." He says leaving. I wish he loved me more than a friend.

"Good luck!" I yell at him through the door. I sigh at him. I wish he knew I liked him.

The reason is that I keep it a secret is because I don't feel comfortable with him knowing it. I'm so close to him. He's like a brother. Actually, it feels like he's my ears to my head. I know, that's a weird combination.

I get a text.

"Rydel.... I kinda wanted to know if you want to come to the Maroon 5 concert with me. You know, since you have been down with your ankle. I only have two tickets so it'll be just you and me." I squeal with joy as it's from "RatsaysRAWR".... From Ratliff. He put his name on it.

"YES!! I can't wait til we go. I love-" I was going to say I love you but I wrote "I love to go with you!" I wish he knew.
