Chapter 21: Rydel's First Kiss

Ratliff POV

Today was the day that we (R5) go to a interview. Stormie decided to rent a hotel for 3 nights for all of us.

I was combing my hair while Calley was reading a magazine article about The Jonas Brothers. I walk over and take it from her.

"Hey! Give it!" She says grabbing it out of my hands. I smirk at her and she smiles.

"I'm going to miss you." She says giving me a pouty face. I walk over and kiss her cheek.

"I'm gonna miss you too." I smile at her. She hugs me and checks her phone.

"Oh I got to go Ratliff." Calley says kissing my cheek. I walk her to the door and give her a quick kiss making her blush.

I get everything I wanted to take with me. I checked the time. The Lynch's were suppose to pick me up. I hear a car pull up. Perfect timing.

I walk over to the bus and get in the back seat which was only Rydel and Rocky. Rydel greeted me with her warm smile. Rocky punched my shoulder playfully.

"Ready?" Mark asks us. Everyone says yes and soon we were off.

Before we even got out of town, Riker, Ryland,Ross, and Rocky were out. Rydel was playing with her bracelets.

"Did you forget your headphones?" I ask her. She nods.

"Do you want to share with me?" I ask her. She looks up and smiles.

"Sure. Thanks Rat." She says getting a ear phone and puts it in her ear while I put one in mine. I hand her my phone to choose the song. She ends up choosing Everybody Talks by Neon Trees.

Soon I could tell she was getting sleepy. I put my arm around her and she lays her head on my shoulder. Before we knew it, we both were out.

Rydel POV

Later I wake up and I look over to see Rocky smirks at me. I roll my eyes and look at Ratliff. He's still sleeping.

"Did you flirt with him?" Riker turns and faces me. I gave him a look.

"Sorry sis I couldn't keep the secret so I told Riker and Ross plus Ry. They know to keep it a secret too." Rocky says.

"Okay but please don't make it obvious that I like him." I whisper. They nod in agreement.

Soon, we all made it to the hotel. Everyone went up to their hotel room and put their stuff in the room. Plus I had my own room to myself.

I laid down in my hotel room and started watching a show that I had no clue what it was plus it was in Spanish.

"Whatcha watching?" Ratliff says coming in without knocking.

"I have no clue and knock first!" I say smiling at him. He smiles back.

I soon smell cologne. It wasn't any normal cologne I smell. It was different. I sniffed and smiled. It smelled so good. I lean over to Ratliff and smell him.

"You wearing different cologne?" I ask him.

"Yes why? Smell great?" He asks me smiling. His eyes sparkled making me get butterflies in my stomach.

"Just wondering and yes. So...." I say reaching for the remote and Ratliff was doing the same. Our hands touched. Fireworks shot up my arm. Did he feel that too?

We both look at each other and I realize he was leaning in on me. I smile and so did he.

Soon, our lips were centimeters apart. Our eyes met and he carefully placed his soft gentle lips on mine. My heart started beating out of my chest. Is this really happening? My best friend, my crush, is kissing me? I pinch my leg to make sure. It is.

"WOE!" I heard behind us. Ratliff and I split apart quickly. There was Ross and everyone of my brothers smiling at us. I look down and blush.

My first kiss was with Ratliff.
