Haven's POV:
It was exactly 15 minutes to midnight. I took the extra house keys from the key holder and quietly tiptoed out of the house.
I had a small backpack with me containing a torch, my phone, and a small pen-knife. Jaseongdae Park was only 10 minutes away from my house, making it easy for me to reach the meeting place.
As I walked, the cool breeze brushed against my face. It was cold yet refreshing, and the clear skies above added to the tranquility. The silence enveloped me, bringing a rare sense of peace.
However, as I neared my destination, I noticed a black car parked outside and a man standing beside it. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't place him. The man stood outside the gates, seemingly oblivious to my presence.
I edged closer and gently tapped him on the shoulder, causing him to jump out of his skin.
Felix's POV:
Leaving the house wasn't difficult at all; after all, who would stop the owner? I drove to the designated location, 30 minutes away, and stood outside the gates, which were closed.
As I debated what to do next, a girl appeared out of nowhere and tapped me on the shoulder. Her sudden cold touch startled me. I recognized her immediately as the girl I had saved the other night.
"What are you doing?" I managed to ask after recovering a bit. "Getting your attention," she replied nonchalantly. "Do you remember me?" I asked.
After a few moments of silence, I reminded her, "You should at least remember your savior!" Realization dawned on her face just as the gates to the park opened.
Haven's POV:
When he helped me recall, I finally recognized the man in front of me. He was the one who had helped me with the drunkard. I was just about to thank him when the gates of Jaseongdae Park suddenly opened.
I gripped the sleeve of my savior out of fear. He looked at me, astonished, but said nothing, for which I was grateful.
We entered the park with him leading the way. Jaseongdae Park, home to many different species of flora and fauna, was really beautiful during the day.
I believe it was recently renamed Busan Jinseong Park. However, it looked eerie at night. Curse the ones who invited me here!
Felix's POV:
I slowly made my way into the park, with the girl tailing behind me, gripping my sleeve. Suddenly, a blinding light flashed and fog enveloped us. The girl screamed and hid behind me while I blindly started to punch at my surroundings.
"Whoa! Easy there!" came a voice through the fog. Gathering my courage, I asked, "Who are you? What do you want?"
"Fierce, ain't he, Aether?" another voice sounded from behind us. The girl was practically hugging me out of fright.
Haven's POV:
This was the worst decision of my life! I shouldn't have come here! These thoughts raced through my mind as we advanced deeper into the park. Suddenly, a blinding light flashed and fog surrounded us. I screamed and hid behind the guy.
"Whoa! Easy there!" came a voice. My heart pounded loudly in my chest. "Who are you? What do you want?" my brave companion asked.
"Fierce, ain't he, Aether?" a voice from behind me asked. At that moment, I didn't care about my reputation; I just wanted to go home. I gripped the guy, almost literally hugging him.
In all this chaos, I dropped my bag. A bony hand appeared and picked it up. Noticing that I wasn't going to reach out and grab it anytime soon, the owner of the hand finally revealed himself. I don't remember what happened afterward.
Felix's POV:
The owner of the bony hand was a tall man with six ghostly arms, each holding a weird-looking mask. That's when the girl passed out. I caught her head before it hit the ground. "Look at that, Morpheus! You've scared her!" a voice from my east said. The people hidden in the shadows finally stepped out of the fog.
There were four men in total. One moved like the night breeze, one was super sinewy and bulky, one shone like the sun, and, of course, the six-armed person. "It would be easier if the boy slept too," said the brawn of the group. "True," agreed the sun-like man. "Hercule?"
The gentleman walked towards me and whispered, "Not to worry, everything will be clear soon."
I felt myself getting lightheaded and soon passed out.
