Haven's Pov
In the end, I was forced to wear the sportswear. But it exceeded my expectations. It was light and comfy and not at all made my curves that prominent.
We all trudged to the training area in Urgula. "Today we'll be seeing how easily you can tame Class 2 animals. Since time is short, I'll bring the most ferocious of the pack." Hercule explains today's task.
As usual the celestials take their seat with Angelica at the centre. While we wait Felix comes up to me. "Hey! How was your day?" He tries to make conversation. "Exhausting! I had so much work." I give him an overview.
"You look nice in that emerald tracksuit!" He compliments me. "Thanks!" I reply just as Hercule brings in our next lesson.
"These are fairies." He says, pointing to the two little spirits that fly around his head. "This is Faylinn and Zephyr."
Then he motions to the bush from where earth-bound beings with shimmering eyes, wild, natural hair, and radiant skin appeared.
"These are pixies, Thistle and Echo." He introduces the pixies. I immediately feel a connection to them. I believe this is because I have the dragons as my spirit animals.
"You both can start with fairies as they are nicer. Felix would you like to go first or would you let ladies go first like last time?" Hercule asks, a twinkle in his eye. We all know he's referring to the incident with the Swars.
I chuckle when I see a tinge of red appear on his neck. He can blush! And he looks cute while doing so. I also couldn't help but notice how the blush highlighted his features-his expressive emerald eyes, the way his lips curved into a slight smile, and the genuine warmth that radiated from him.
Shaking myself out of thoughts, I focus on Felix's answer. "Well as a gentleman I do believe that ladies should go first. However, Haven if you don't mind, I'd like to go first!" He looks at me. "Sure!" I reply, smiling slightly.
"Well then Felix. Come forward!" Hercule gestures at him. "Now as we progress up the ladder, the spirits are going to be more dangerous and cautious. Meaning you have to be a bit alert too." Hercule warns as Felix approach the fairies. He nods and continues walking.
As he walks the moonlight from the canopy shines at him and I finally understand why even the goddess of love and beauty was drooling. The sleek design of his shirt, contours his well-chiseled torso, emphasizing his lean physique. The deep navy blue color of his outfit contrasts beautifully with his blonde hair.
Felix makes his way to the centre where the fairies await. They start circling him cautiously at first. Then they realize that Felix means no harm. It's probably that outfit of his.
They settle on his shoulders, each giving him a slight peck on the cheek.
"It seems as if the Fairies are captivated by you." Pandora speaks, startling both me and Felix. "Well I believe it was only those Swars that were out to get me!" He chuckles dryly. At this we laugh.
"Well then Hercule, what are you waiting for? It's the turn of the princess." Aether speaks up. At his voice the fairies startle and fly away to Hercule, who reassures them.
"Alright then Haven, you heard the god! Come on up." I do so as he says and make my way towards the pixies. They seem cautious at first but then recognize me.
Thistle and Echo started chattering excitedly. I open out my hand to them. After a moment of hesitation both of them come and sit on my palm.
A sudden light blinds me. I blink my eyes to focus and steady my breath. I'm inside the palace. And in a wedding dress.
Im standing at an altar with Felix. It's a tranquil environment until it is shattered by piercing screams. My heart raced as I turned towards the origin of the commotion and my eyes widen in shock and disbelief.
Angelica was a scene of chaos and horror. Blood spurted from her mouth, staining the pristine, marble floors. The atmosphere shifted from one of celebration to one of chaos and uncertainty.
The chamber filled with the metallic scent of blood, a stark contrast to the fragrant blooms that adorned the space.
My senses reeled as I struggled to comprehend the ghastly sight before me. My stomach churned with a mix of fear and revulsion, my mind racing to process the unfolding nightmare.
Amidst the chaos and carnage, my emotions surged-a turbulent tempest of fear, grief, and determination. I clenched my fists, feeling the delicate fabric of my wedding gown crumple beneath my fingers, a stark contrast to the gruesome scene that unfolded around me.
Amidst the chaos, a sense of disbelief washed over me-a surreal feeling of being trapped in a nightmare from which i couldn't wake.
I sensed the weight of destiny pressing down upon my shoulders. This was my fate. This was the future
My heart skipped a beat as I noticed a presence lurking in the shadows, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. The contrast between his apparent happiness and the grim scene before us sent a chill down my spine, igniting a flurry of unsettling thoughts.
Why was his demeanor like this?
I woke up gasping for breath. The celestials that were crowded around me stepped back as if to give me some room to breath.
"What..... what happened?" I looked around, hoping someone would explain that horrifying dream.
"We don't exactly know...." Flema replies. "Was it because of the Pixies?" Felix asks, his voice full of worry. Then I realized, my head was on his lap. This was the second time he caught me while I passed out.
"No, the pixies don't have the power to make someone's heart stop for a minute." Hercule shakes his head. "I had died?!" I try to get up. "Well you didn't die for long. How did it feel?" Aether tries to lighten the mood but fails in doing so.
"Okay that's enough! Erebus I need you to drop both of them off at Felix's house. Felix I'll have to burden you with taking Haven home. The rest of you, back to the palace!" Angelica takes control and issues orders, none repudating her.
Erebus steps forward but still partially remains in the shadows. I still can't make him out. "Shall we then?" He asks. Felix and I both nod, me more eager than him.
"Brace yourselves!" Is the only thing the god of Underworld says before darkness envelops us.
