Chapter 4 : Introduction

Felix's POV

I blinked a few times, trying to focus through the disorienting lights and the blurred figures around me. "Looks like the boy's up, Your Highness," said the person crouching next to me.

"Thank you, Flema. Farris, can you please help him sit up?" a voice that sounded like it belonged to an angel spoke. My vision cleared, and the bulky man I had encountered in the park approached me.

I shot up in alarm. "Don't come near me! Release me at once, you... whoever you people are!" I shouted, my voice shaking with a mix of anger and fear. I saw the sinister doctor touching the girl. "And don't touch her!" I yelled again.

"It seems as if what you told us was accurate. He is fierce!" said a girl who appeared beside me.

"Chocolate! How nice to see you!" the sun-like man, Aether, greeted the new arrival. Chocolate glared at him, and that was when the girl woke up.

Haven's POV

I woke up to the sound of my savior shouting. A hazel-haired woman was checking my forehead. "G-get away from me!" I squeaked. She looked at me for a few seconds, then smiled and stepped aside. I grabbed the blanket and hurried towards my handsome rescuer.

"Look, I don't know who you are or what you want, but if it's money you want, take him," I said, pointing to the boy, who looked at me confused and a bit disappointed.

They all laughed. "Darling! We're neither thieves nor kidnappers!" exclaimed the ginger-haired beauty. "In fact, we brought you here to tell you your destiny," the dark blue lady explained, or tried to at least. We looked at them in disbelief.

"Look here, lady, you can't mess with us! I don't know about this girl here, but I am a CEO, meaning I am prone to such things. Explain, in clear words, what you all mean!" The man, now clearly annoyed, demanded an answer.

Felix's POV

I demanded an explanation from our hosts, and the girl sided with me as well. Silence fell upon the room. At last, an angelic woman stepped out.

"My name is Angelica, and I am the queen of Magix. None of them are lying when they say we brought you here without harboring ill intentions. Are you willing to listen?" She looked at us with a gentle gaze.

I nodded, and so did the girl. "All right then, let's start," Angelica smiled.

"Wait, we need hot chocolate!" exclaimed the ginger beauty, and with that, she made about twelve cups of steaming hot chocolate appear out of thin air.

This earned her a glare from the 'Wednesday Addams' character and a stunned look from us. Taking her cup, Angelica started to tell her tale.

"Magix, the land above Earth, was created by the collision of dark and light. It was created by The Supreme Lord, who created this world to rule as well as take care of humans. Magix is home to different species such as the Lumens, the Sophias, the Lioras, the Saells, the Sangrammas, the Azus, the Giltinès, the Keans, the Amelutus, the Urmas, and the creatures of Urgula."

"These species hold specific powers which are provided by the Magix crystal. The Magix crystal is divided into ten sub and two main powers. Each is represented by either a God or Goddess."

Haven's POV

This is crazy. Gods and Goddesses, Magic! As if reading my thoughts, Angelica smiled knowingly. "I know this might sound far-fetched, but I'll introduce you to the Gods and Goddesses right now to show you how much truth is in my words." She nodded at the attentive crowd.

The sun man stepped forward and bowed in front of us, "Aether, the Sun God. A pleasure to meet you both."

Then came forward the 'Wednesday Addams' lookalike, "Selene, the Moon Goddess," she said, giving a slight curtsy before returning to her place.

"Chofi, the goddess of wisdom," the dark beauty introduced herself, followed by a graceful gentleman, "God of Animals, Hercule," who bowed and stepped aside.

"I am Farris, the God of War," announced the bulky man.

"And I, Lenna, am the Goddess of Love," the ginger beauty introduced herself.

"We are Pandora, rulers of time," three godly ladies stepped forward, followed by the doctor, "Flema, the Goddess of Healing, at your service!"

"Morpheus, Chaos God I am," the six-armed man came forward, earning a small whimper from me and a smile from the spectators.

As they introduced themselves, they displayed their powers. "And I am the High Queen, the ruler of Magix. Unfortunately, you will not be able to see Erebus, the God of Afterlife, today, but don't worry, he'll introduce himself soon."

Felix's POV

Strangely, I started to feel more at ease, and surprisingly, I believed them. "You both feel a connection to them, don't you?" Angelica smiled at our agape faces. Silence answered her. She reassured us, "Don't worry, this is normal!"

Seeing that the girl was as confused as I was, I voiced both our thoughts out loud, "And why is this normal, for US, I mean?"

This time, instead of Angelica, Pandora replied, "That question is easily answered! That is because you are the next King and Queen of Magix, the future owners of the Crystal of Power!"
