I don't know how it happened, I just know how she told me. It was so shocking, I didn't know how to react. Would I be good enough for her? For the family? I don't know. I want to be good enough but I don't know if I can be. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy but I was only twenty-three. Twenty-three! But in the end, I couldn't be happier.

Hazel's POV:

I remember I woke up in my bed on one sunny morning. I sat up, I saw my husband, Alexander, wasn't in bed. "Odd. He usually sleeps in on Saturdays." I said to myself. I got up and put my clothes on. I went to the bathroom to take a shower. I took my shower and went back to lay on my bed, towel wrapped around me. I read a Tale of Two Cites while I dried.

Then I went back to get changed. As I did, I felt a little sick. I looked in the mirror, I was pale, sick looking. I gasped at the sight of me. "Am I OK?" I asked myself. I shook my head in the mirror. Then I remembered something: I hadn't had my period yet. "Oh, no!"

Alexander's POV:

I remember waking up early. I remembered it was Saturday, I groaned as I remembered I liked to sleep in on these days. I sat up, my lovely wife Hazel curled up next to me. I smiled to myself and got up to get dressed. I went to the bathroom to do it. Even if Hazel is my wife, she doesn't really feel comfortable changing in front of her, and vice versa. Nor sleeping naked. She also isn't a fan of "the deed", so it really makes me wonder how we got from that to this. To be honest, I think the only time we did the deed was at our wedding, I was wasted. I had like forty things of vodka. Somehow I think Hazel is the only one who didn't waste herself. I also remember George and Lavinia doing the deed too. That always makes me laugh.

I remember I got up and went to the kitchen after I had changed. I looked up at the clock. "It's only 8:00?! Why couldn't I have slept in!?" I said, grabbing the day's newspaper. I looked at it. I sat at the kitchen table and I remember I heard Hazel getting up and ready to start the day. Then I heard a "oh no!" came from in our room. "Hazel dear, are you OK?" I called. "Yep, just my book is very dramatic!" she told me. I shrugged and went back to reading. Soon she came out looking a bit sick or pale. "Hey, Alex honey, im going to the doctor because I'm not feeling the best. But don't worry." she told me, walking out the door. I nodded. After she'd left I made some bacon.

I read the newspaper as I ate. When she came back, she looked panicked. "So how was it?" I asked, trying not to panic at the way she looked. "Say, is this a bad time?" she asked nervously. "No, why, my dear?" I asked, slightly panicking now. I took a sip of water.

"Because I'm pregnant.''

I almost choked on my water. "WHAT?" I exclaimed, too loudly because a tear slid down Hazel's cheek. She sat down at the table. I put my head in my hands and I was worried. Alex, are you good enough? Are you? Huh, huh? that little voice in my head said. "Alex, are you OK?" Hazel asked, inching closer to me. "No, I'm not," I told her. She sighed. "I'm sorry. But I can't help it. It's not my fault, you know." she told me, patting me on the back. "No, it's not your fault. It's mine. And I'm not mad at you. I'm not OK because I don't know if I'm good enough. Will I be a good enough father?" I told her, sweeping her up into a tight hug. She hugged me. "Of course you're good enough!" Hazel told me. "If you weren't then why would I say yes to marrying you?"

I smiled. I kissed her on the lips and put her down. "Do you want food?" I asked, going to the kitchen counter. "Um, sure. Can I have pancakes and water?" Hazel asked. I nodded. I made her some pancakes and gave her water. She hugged me and ate. I heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it, Alex honey!" Hazel said. "No, I-"

Hazel had already opened the door. "Oh, hello, Hazel." a little kid voice said. I looked and saw George and Lavinia's kid. "Oh, hello, Jeremy," Hazel said, bending down to shake his hand. "Hello, Alex." Jeremy said, looking up at me. I waved at him. "Hello, George, Lavinia," I said, gesturing them to come in. They sat at the kitchen table and I gave Jeremy a few pancakes while I gave them some wine and bacon for Lavinia, sandwhiches(vegan) for George. "So, what brings you here?" Hazel asked, sitting down and squeezing my hand tightly. I winched at how hard she squeezed. "Can't friends just visit other friends?" George said, smirking. I rolled my eyes. "I suspose." I said, taking a drink of water. Hazel pulled me into the bedroom. "Are you OK?" I asked, looking at her belly, worried. "Should we tell them?" she asked, sitting on the bed. "I don't know. Do you want to?" I asked, sitting next to her. "Maybe we could." she said, leaning on my shoulder. I was about to answer when I heard someone call out "Watson!" Hazel perked up and went back into the kitchen. I followed her.

I saw Daisy standing there, hands on hips. When she saw Hazel, her face lit up. "Oh, Watson!" she said, hugging her. Hazel squeaked and hugged her back. They sat down and Daisy looked at Hazel's belly. Hazel looked nervous. "Are you OK, Watson? You seem uneasy." she told Hazel. Hazel blushed. Daisy quickly realized as Hazel tapped morse code on her hand. Daisy's eyes went wide open. She pulled Hazel into our bedroom.

"You're pregnant?!" Daisy said. Hazel blushed. "Can I just ask why you got pregnant with Alexander's child?" Hazel began to cry. "I didn't ask for this, you know!" Hazel said, weeping. "Buck up, Watson!" Daisy whispered comfortingly. They walked out. They sat at the table. "You OK, Hazel dear?" I asked, knowing full well what they were talking about.

Hazel nodded. Jeremy went to my office and grabbed a calculator. "Hazel, what is this?" he asked, showing her. Hazel took it kindly and tried to show him how it worked but it wasn't working. Hazel began to bang it on the table and George gave me a smirk as he said, "don't bang that poor thing. How would you like it if Alexander banged you?" I nearly choked on the water I was drinking. But Hazel just looked up calmy and said, "To be fair, he already did since I'm pregnant."

I turned bright crimson. George's eyes went wide as Lavinia laughed. "You've gotten wittier, Hazel Wong." he told her. Hazel still likes to go by her family's name.

"So, Hazel. I'm turning four in a week and me and my family are going to Father's home of India. We wanted to know if you wanted to come. That's why we're here." Jeremy told Hazel. Hazel bent down to make eye contact with him and said, "Oh, you know what? We shall think about it."
