Later that night, I went to sleep next to her. I got my pjs on. It was midnight. The lights were off in our room, curtains drawn, and the lamp on the nightstand off. "Hazel, you awake?" I called gently. Hazel rustled in bed but didn't answer. I walked to the bed, closing the bedroom door. I sat down next to her, gently covering myself in the blanket. I laid my head on the pillow. I turned on my side, facing the corner in the room. Hazel had her back towards me. I closed my eys, silencly praying to God. I fell asleep, and I turned towards Hazel and held her close to me.

The next day I woke, it was a sunny day. I woke Hazel up. "Oh, Alexander! I'm tired! I'm sleeping for two, you know." she told me, rolling over to face me. I leaned down and kissed her. "I suspose I could get up a bit." she said, smirking. I helped her up. Hazel get up and went to get dressed. She came back looking beautiful. "You look stunning." I told her, kissing on her on the cheek. "Oh, stop." she said teasingly. "What? I don't care if you're humble, but I should tell you the truth." I told her, making her sit at the table.

I gave Hazel a salat and gave her water. "Thank you, honey." she said, raising her glass like she was making a toast. She took a drink of it and began to read her book, glass in hand. I squeezed her hand under the table.

We finished our food and I took the food to the sink. I heard a knock on the door and Hazel went to open it. "Hello, George, Lavinia, and Jeremy." she said, letting them in. They sat at the living room. I walked over to them. I sat next to Hazel, grabbing her hand. Jeremy sat next to me. "OK, so we are going to India in a few days. It's best you pack your stuff." George told me. Me and Hazel nodded. "Oh, Watson!" Daisy cried, swinging open the front door. "I want to come with you to India with Amina!" she told us, sitting down. "Be my guest, Daisy." Lavinia said. Amina came in with her kid. Did I forget to mention Daisy and Amina have a adopted child named Ruthie? Yeah, they do. Ruthie and Jeremy like each other. I'm leaving it at that.
