Y/n's POV

"Captain..." i glanced from my captors to the camera streaming live, "Do not come for me." i spoke weakly but clearly, earning a hard punch to the cheek, blood flying, head drooping
"You listen to her words and she'll have a fate worse than death, Captain Price," Someone spoke in broken english, shutting the camera off. I won't let him die, not in the stupid way that they'd planned.

Someone suddenly lifted my head up by my hair, roughly pulling on my scalp and causing me to glare in pain and hate at them
"Won't you be a good damsel in distress?" he laughed. my only response was spitting bloody spit at his face, his face contorting in anger, pausing just before his fist even grazed my skin.
"You have some fight, but i wouldn't want to ruin your pretty little face for your captain, he might not want to save you without it," he grinned, turned around, then spun on his heel again towards me and punched me in the gut in one swift movement. "Don't try and get smart with me again," he turned around and left for good this time, the room in pure darkness as the door slammed shut.

The stress and pain this situation had brought me had made me cry enough, i had run out of tears, as much as i still wanted to let them out. I'm going to die. This is it, in some dirty tunnels, and in a violent manner should Price actually listen to me. Though, i'd rather die horrifically if it stopped him from getting hurt. We did missions way before 141, we could never be separated, not once could someone address us singularly, even if we were different ranks. As much as i didn't want him here to rescue me, i really wanted him here to comfort me. I felt so cold and alone and all i could think about was being in one of his big bear hugs - i'll never get to experience them again, i'll never even see him again.

I couldn't tell how fast or slow time was in this room but i started to not care. there's no countdown to my death, it's just a wait, and that would be as long as it needed to be. i closed my eyes, and i don't know how long had passed before I opened them at the sudden sound of gunfire. Was it Price? it better not be. the dirt ceiling lost a few dustings of itself as a few explosives shook the place. The door swung open, one of the men from earlier coming in with a bag. he rushed like he was against the clock, setting up for a world record. he untied my hands and held one, forcing me to put on some kind of vest before he tied my wrists behind me again. then he set up all kinds of wirings, clips, countermeasures and bombs. he'd put me in a bomb vest, the asshole, he could've escaped or something and he decided to strap some bombs to me? he started to run, but as soon as he got to the door frame he was shot right between the eyes. i looked down at the phone with a countdown taped to my chest, one minute and thirty seconds. He had picked a terrible timing.

Then he stepped through the door, his strange beard being the first thing i saw. my heart dropped just at the sight. he hadn't listened to me.
"John you need to go, why didn't you listen to me?!" i dragged my boots against the floor, trying to move back as much as i could.
"I couldn't just leave you here and you should've known that," he threw his gun to the side, checking through the man's bag and pulling out a dirty book that looked like it could deteriorate at any second, then he ran over to me, getting on one knee, trying to make sense of the instructions with just pictures.
"I do know that, but i also know that it's dangerous and i was hoping for once in your life you'd listen to me," i shook his hand off as soon as he started to temper with the vest, "Leave."
"I'm not leaving you here," he said as if nothing i said made sense, moving to the vest again.
"I'm wearing a bomb vest with what? about 50 seconds left? You're not going to disarm it, you need to go now before the tunnels start collapsing when it does go off," i wriggled
"I'm not going anywhere, so hold still," he continued, moving closer in a way of limiting my movement
"Captain you're delusional, I won't let you die," i tried as much as i could to escape his helpful grasp, but being tied up didn't help.
"No one's dying, i'm nearly done," his tone hushed as he concentrated.

I tried to stay calm. he wasn't going to leave, no matter what i said. my eyes drifted down towards the timer. 11 seconds. it had started to beep every second.
"John there's 10 seconds you have to go-"
"I'm not leaving-" he cut a wire, sighing in relief, "I've disarmed it, we're fine,"
my eyes stayed glued to the timer
"Then why's it still counting down?" my eyes widened
"I did everything possible, there's no way it could still-"
"It's still going Price! you need to get out of here now!" i tried to get through to him, but he only wrapped his arms around me, his warm embrace catching me off guard.
"I won't let you die alone," his voice had gotten deeper, a mix of emotions going through the both of us
"i know this is really late," i spoke swiftly, "But i love you John." i confessed.
"i love you too," he reciprocated before we both tensed at the last beep.

and then there was nothing. quite literally, nothing. No more beeping, no explosion, just the two of us, sat in silence, together. we relaxed in each others warmth, the impending doom gone completely now. the timer just hadn't been disconnected, and i felt a little stupid. Price's embrace tightened, squeezing the air out of me.
"i said we'd be fine," he sounded a little smug, i felt his grin as his chin moved on my shoulder
"You definitely panicked," i teased, "can you let me out of this chair?" i was dying to ask, i'd probably vote it as the most uncomfortable chair ever.
"right," he quickly backed up before walking behind me and cutting the restraints. i wiggled my hands around, the freedom of wrist movement feeling like heaven. he cut some more wires on the vest before bringing it up over my head, throwing it away then quickly grabbing me by the waist, dipping me slightly like we were doing the salsa. he was close to my now bright red face.
"Why are you blushing? you've already confessed," he chuckled, before pressing his lips on mine, the sudden motion surprising yet exhilarating. one of his hands cupped my face, touching a sensitive spot from when i had been hit. i paused from the pain, but continued in hopes that the moment would never end.

But it did. He pulled away after noticing the small pause, analysing where he had touched.
"I'll kill those bastards... do you want to come with me? or you can wait outside for me with Gaz," He whispered, not in the way of keeping a secret, but in they way of making it more personal.
"I want to see those assholes suffer,"
he grinned at the words, kissing me again.
