Danika

✢ TWENTY NINE ✢

Lucifer turned the doorknob and pushed the door open with his body weight, stepping aside to reveal Estrella.

Danika looked up from the barbies that she played with on Gabriel's bed, tears filled up in her eyes and she hopped off the bed and ran straight into Estrella's arms. She caught Danika gracefully and held her tightly.

"Oh my baby," Estrella said sweetly while stroking Danika's long hair. Danika was holding on for dear life. "I've missed you so much!"

Gabriel was speechless, he couldn't believe it. She was alive! Lucifer did it, he actually did! A huge smile spread across Gabriel's face and he got up himself, approaching the happy family of three.

"I'm so happy to see you, Estrella."

A smile was on Estrella's face, she looked at Gabriel and that was when he realized her eyes were black, just like Lucifer's. Gabriel looked at Lucifer, he couldn't hide his shock. They all doubted Lucifer, and the longer time went by without her waking up almost proved that they were right.

"Thanks Gabriel, it's good to see you."

"Where did you go, mommy?" Danika leaned back and then gasped. She placed her palm against Estrella's cheek and frowned. "Mommy? Your eyes?"

Estrella inhaled then exhaled.

"Yes baby," she glanced at Lucifer. "I think daddy and I need to tell you some things."

We do? Lucifer thought. Whatever she wanted, he'd do. He stepped forward, placing his hand on Estrella's lower back. They stood united, and Gabriel couldn't believe what he was seeing. Who was this? Did they do the ritual on Estrella or Lucifer? Because they were both equally different people now.

"Let's go back to my room, okay?"

Lucifer stroked his thumb down Danika's cheek softly. She was a bit frightened, which was understandable. Her mother looked different and that was terrifying.

"Lucifer!" Barley yelled from the corridor.

A low growl escaped Lucifer's throat and he turned, but Barley was already standing behind them.

"What?"

"To your office, now! He's here."

"Who's here?" Estrella asked.

"God."

Gabriel flinched and Lucifer removed his hand from Estrella's back quickly.

"Gabriel, keep Estrella and Danika here. You," he grabbed Barley by the shirt and started dragging him down the corridor along with him. "Get your legion down here right now, do you understand me?"

"Yes, my Lord."

Lucifer shoved Barley towards the outside elements of the Underworld and Barley didn't waste any time to start running. Lucifer started marching towards his office, and the longer he walked, the more Archangels and Demons appeared behind him. God, in the Underworld? Unheard of. Lucifer wasn't even sure how he got here. Usually, Angels came. Not God, himself.

"Is he really here?" Dina asked, following closely behind Lucifer.

"That's what I've been told."

Abaddon appeared from around the corner with a sword attached to his hip and he joined Lucifer's army toward the office, he didn't have to say anything to Lucifer. He already knew they were walking into this intending to fight if it came to it.

Lucifer pushed open the doors and there God sat, in Lucifer's chair with several other Archangels around him.

"Hello, Children." God greeted.
