He stood silently with his hands behind his back; his hands folded into one another. The wall of memorial, that was what it was named to be after the ones Heaven had lost. But one name, written in shining gold at the top of the list, was Michael. The Archangel was that grieved the most. The greatest loss. His heart ached. How could this had happened? If only Lucifer hadn't become who he is, if only he had seen it coming.
"Father," said a gentle feminine voice. God looked over his shoulder to see an Auburn haired lady approaching his side. "I have some terrible news."
God dreaded to hear what she had to say, for days they have been searching for Estrella in a panic. No one understood how she could have vanished from Heaven like she did, it was impossible. She was dead.
"I'm sure whatever you have to say, darling. I can handle it."
She didn't want to say it. Her eyelids closed and her long lashes laid against the top of her cheeks.
"She's in the Underworld...with him."
God didn't speak, his jaw slightly dropped open. Impossible, he wanted to yell out. Estrella is dead, there's no way she could have went to the Underworld because her soul still belonged in Heaven. She still belonged to him. Anger and confusion is what he felt in this moment. God didn't say a word to her, instead he left her standing there while his mind tried to process this news.
"This makes no sense." he whispered to himself.
Was this the work of Lucifer? He thought. No, cannot be. Lucifer was not that gifted, he couldn't play with life and death. But God couldn't himself but to doubt that. Could Lucifer play with life and death after all this time? Were Lucifer's abilities underestimated?
