Devale?" I said as I stood staring at him

"You gonna invite me in?" He asked me and I still was stuck until I heard Josh's voice.

"Baby you alright?" He said walking up behind me

"Umm yeah babe" I said nervously "these are my sons Jax, Kaz, Ro and Kota and this is their dad Devale" I began to feel my hands get sweaty "boys, Devale, this is my boyfriend Josh"

"Nice to meet you all" Josh said, extending his hand but nobody took his offer. "Well uhh this seems like a family matter so I'm gonna go" he grabbed his jacket

"Josh you don't have to leave" I said grabbing his arm

"Oh yes he does" Jaxson says stepping In between us. Him and Josh stood face to face staring at each other for a few seconds when Devale stepped in front of Jaxson "my son said you should go" and by this point all of the boys were staring Josh down and he turned around and left. 

Looking at Devale and the boys with angry eyes, after watching Josh leave. "What the hell?!"

Looking at Crystal with a smirk Devale replies "So...you gonna let us in or what?" He questions, picking up Milan.

"Hey baby girl." He says looking at her, kissing her cheeks and forehead.  Milan giggles in response "Dadddddyyyy stop, I'm not a little girl anymore." She says in response. Giving her a hug, he sets her down and turns around telling the boys to go grab the bags, Milan wanting to help, goes outside with them, leaving Devale and Crystal in the living room together

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked him angrily

"I came to see my daughter and also apologize to you for everything and hopefully make amends so that I can be in her life" Devale said to me

"Well you should've called first, I'm in a relationship now you can't just pop tf up here" I snapped at him

"Look the boys wanted to see you if you don't want me here I'll get a hotel" Devale said

"You don't have to leave, Lani will throw a fit but I wish you would've called first" I said to him feeling bad

"I'm sorry Crys, it won't happen again" he said

As we were talking, the kids came back inside with their bags. I showed them where they'd be sleeping and where to put their bags. We all sat at the table finally to eat.  Lani was eager to show her dad and brothers all of her accomplishments over the years. I was enjoying my time with the boys but with Devale being here it just didn't feel right. I did everything to be away from this man and all the drama. All I can think about right now is Josh.

After everyone was done eating everybody went into the living room to talk and catch up some more before bed. I couldn't focus so I went to clean the kitchen to distract myself. After a few minutes Devale came into the kitchen with me.

Devale- so... how've you been?

"Good Devale, what do you need?" I asked him

Devale- I just wanted to come and talk to you Crys that's all

"Okay, so talk" I said never making eye contact with him

Devale- Okay well I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I know why you left. I never intended to go that far with Kayla and I never felt the same about her as I felt about you. I know I can't take it back but I do apologize.

"Devale, it's fine! I've moved on, we don't even have to discuss that. What we need to discuss is you spending 5 years not even contacting your child" I turned to look at him

Devale- Crystal, how could I contact her if you blocked me and left and I had no idea where to look?

"So how'd you find me now?" I asked him a bit irritated

Devale- Jax accidentally slipped up and said he was coming and the boys wanted to see you so I decided to surprise Lani. 

"Okay so why are you in here? Go spend time with her. Me and you have nothing to talk about!" I said trying to avoid eye contact

Devale- look at me Crys

"Devale get tf out" I snapped still keeping me eyes off his

Devale- why you can't look at me huh?

"Maybe because I don't want to" I said trying to fight back the urge and the tears

Devale- what you doing with this clown ass nigga Crystal?

"Devale you don't get to ask me those questions okay? I'm letting you stay here for your daughter. That's it I love Josh and that's all you need to know!" I said getting annoyed

Devale- If you love him, why is it so hard for you to look at me while you're talking?

"Because I'm in love with you okay!" I blurted out "I keep trying to feel a fucking void but I cannot help that no matter how far or how long I'm still in love with a motherfucker that don't deserve shit from me" I screamed not noticing Milan and Josh coming into the kitchen

Milan- Mommy Uncle Jos-

Josh- No Lani it's okay, I shouldn't have came back here my bad y'all finish y'all talk. ima go

Devale- See ya

"Josh, wait!" I followed him out the door.
