Kayla

Jax- Ma you okay?

"I'm fine" wiping my tears away. "I'll be back. You go downstairs, don't worry about me, I'll be absolutely okay."

After Jaxson left the room I went into my bathroom to shower. I came out and got dressed, booked a flight to New York for later today, grabbed my purse and my keys and headed downstairs. "I got some errands to run and I'll be back." I said to everyone as I walked out of the door. I got into my car and took a deep breath. I drove for about an hour in complete silence before I reached my destination. I had to brace myself before getting out of the car. I knocked on the door and he opened it. "Crys why are you here?"

"Please just fuck me" I said to him pushing my way inside.

Josh- Crys what the hell?

"Josh look at me" grabbing his face "I have a flight to catch and this might be my last time seeing you so just fuck me please no talking"

Josh did what I asked.

After I was done with Josh, I got up and fixed myself "I love you" I said as I headed towards the door

Josh- Crys, be careful! I love you too

I nod and head out the door to the airport. Once I arrived at the airport I texted Jaxson to let him know to order out because I won't be home for dinner.  I sat for about 3 hours before boarding my flight. 

DEVALE's POV

"Jax, have you heard from your mother? I've been calling her" I said to him about confused it's been 5 hours and Crystal still hasn't come back

Jax- She texted me and told me to order dinner because she won't be back on time

"So when was y'all going to inform me?" I asked

Jax- Well no disrespect dad she's not really your business anymore

"You know what, all y'all gonna learn to respect me around here" I said clearly getting annoyed by Jaxson'/ disrespect

He shrugged and walked off without saying anything.  I called Crystal a few more times but it continued to goto voicemail. After she continued not to answer I gave up and went back to watching tv while we waited for dinner.

CRYSTAL's POV

My flight just landed in New York. I already had my plan in motion. It's now 6pm. Kayla leaves her studio at about 8 and heads home. I rushed to my old house to pick up my gun and headed to Kayla's.  Luckily when I arrived she still kept the spare key in the same spot. I let myself in and went into the kitchen and poured me a glass of wine. I sat down on the couch, kicked my feet up and got comfortable. After about 15 minutes I finally heard the sound of keys. Kayla entered the door and had fear written across her face. "You're not happy to see me, bestie?" I asked her as I took my feet down off the coffee table

Kayla- H-Hey Crys, What are you doing here?

"That's no way to speak to your best friend. I'm here to surprise you." I said now standing up

Kayla- Ummm you're right let's do some catching up, how've you been?

"No , how've you been? I hear you're engaged now and everything congratulations." I said moving closer to her "Who's the lucky guy?"

Kayla- Oh just someone I met at work girl, you don't know him.

I began to laugh hysterically. "You sure?" I asked just to see if she'd continue to lie

Kayla- Um yea girl, how are you? And the kids? I hear Devale flew out.

"Hmm and how'd you hear that?" I asked her now I have her right where I want her

Kayla- Well Jax still keeps in contact with Dino so she let me know.

"That's funny, Jaxson said he hasn't talked to Dino since I left."

Kayla- Oh well must be a mistake, you want a drink?

"No bitch I want blood!" I said drawing my gun

Kayla- Crys what are you doing?

"You think I'm a fool" I began to laugh "You and Devale huh? I guess you needed me to leave him so that you can get all the way in" I began to laugh and cry at the same time "I trusted you, I confided in you and this is what you do to me?"

Kayla- Crys I can edpl-

I didn't even let her finish before shooting her in the head. There was no explanation she could give me to make me forgive her.

THE NEXT MORNING
BACK IN ATL

I walked inside the house and was greeted by everyone.

Milan- Mommy where have you been?

Kaz- Yea where have you been?

Devale- That's what I would like to know 

"I needed some air." I said, sitting my purse down.

Jax- All day and night?

"Look, I'm fine, okay. I needed some time to myself. Now can I go shower? Or y'all need to supervise that too?" I said getting a big snappy

They all backed off and I went upstairs to shower, I didn't even acknowledge Devale.

DEVALE's POV

After a couple more days of this awkward visit with Crystal and Lani it was finally time to go.

"Daddy loves you princess and I'll be back to see you soon" hugging her tightly. I looked over at Crystal "I love you as well"

She nods and hugs the boys and they said their goodbyes and we leave to head to the airport.  Once we arrived at the airport I attempted to call Kayla because she hasn't been answering but it just goes straight to voicemail. After about an hour we boarded our flight.

Once our flight landed I started to feel uneasy. I don't know if I forgot something or what but the feeling was weird. We waited for our driver and once they picked us up we went straight to the house. Me and the boys gathered all our luggage out of the trunk and put it in front of the door. I always used the spare key to get in because she never got me a key made. But for some reason I couldn't find it.

Kaz- Dad the door is cracked open

"What the fuck?" I had a strange look on my face because Kayla never left her door open. "Y'all stay right here and let me check everything out"

I slowly pushed the door open, inching my way inside. I quickly covered my nose and the smell was unbearable. As I got closer to the living room area the smell got worse. "KAYLA??!!l" I said running over to her lifeless body in the middle of the floor.
