Crystals POV

"Did you hear me D?" I said sitting up "I don't have to keep it"

Devale- Is it Josh baby?

"Devale you already know the answer to that" I said putting my head down

Devale- So you was out here having unprotected sex with this nigga but didn't know she was his daughter?

"It's a lot of things I didn't take the time to learn about him just like it's still things I'm learning about you" I said to him getting teary eyed

Devale- Well learn this, When I say im done with somebody I mean that shit. So this between me and you are done, have your baby and your happy ending with Josh

Devale walked out and the doctor came in as he was leaving.

Doctor- Hey, just here to check your vitals are you okay?

"As okay as I can be, when will I be getting out of here?"

Doctor- Well your vitals checked out fine I should be able to get you right out of here, also if you wanna talk about it I wasn't trying to snoop but I heard a bit of that

"It's fine honestly it's no secret, we fight, he gets mad, he sleeps around and then he comes right back"

Doctor- And do you think that you deserve that?

"Honestly no, but we have kids and one just passed away this morning I can't even grieve without all the drama it hurts"

Doctor- I understand, I'm newly divorced. I had to tell myself that I needed to show my children it's better to chase your own happiness alone than to be miserable tryna fake happy with someone else

"You're right doc, if only I was that strong I'm so in love with him I always put him first"

Doctor- If he loved you as much as you love him he wouldn't allow you to put him first

Tears began to fall from my eyes. I knew everything he was saying was correct. It's time I start thinking about me and not so much about Devale

Doctor- Can I hug you?

"Sure"

He hugged me tightly and the smell of his cologne made me melt inside. We held the hug for what felt like forever.

Doctor- Here's my card, you call me if you need anything, okay?

"Will do doc" I sad blushing.

2 months later

After Jaxson's Funeral, Devale and I decided to split up for good. He keeps the kids on weekends and I keep them during the week. We finally got them enrolled into school in Atlanta. Ive been going to doctor brown for all of my appointments and we've went on a few dates. After everything with Devale and the scheming with Josh, I just wanted a friend and he was exactly that. Lani and the boys are away at my parents house right now for summer break and I decided to cook dinner and invite Kevin ( Dr. Brown ) over. I'm now 5 months pregnant so I can't really do much anyways. I haven't spoken to Josh at all and I'm actually happy about that I still haven't forgiven him for Jaxson.

LATER THAT NIGHT
KNOCK KNOCK

"Heyyy"  I said hugging him

Kevin- Hey beautiful, this is for you ( handing me a rose )

"Aw thank you, you're so sweet" I said as I took the rose from his hand

Kevin- Not as sweet as you, smells good in here, what's for dinner?

"It's a surprise" I said taking his hand leading him to the dining room

Kevin- Speaking of surprises ( getting on one knee )

"Kev, what are you doing?" I asked nervously

Kevin- Crystal, these past 2 months with you being in my presence has been the happiest for me

"Me too I love being around you" I said blushing

Kevin- When I met you Crys, I could tell someone had sucked the life out of you and I'm happy to be able to shed some light back on to you and I wanna be sure that no matter what it's me and you, I think it's time we make it official, what do you say?

"I-I- Yes! A thousand times yes" I said as we planted our first kiss onto each others lips.

Kevin- Now let's go eat beautiful

Before we could begin eating I heard a knock at the door "I'll get that"

Kevin- No baby, you've done enough I got it.

Kevin walked to the door opening it seeing a man.

Kevin- Yeah?

Man- Umm I'm looking for Crystal

Kevin- she ain't here, who are you?

Man- Um never mind it doesn't matter

Kevin- Trust me it does matter, who are you?

Man- I'm her baby's father

"Josh? What the fuck are you doing here?" I said walking up behind Kevin
