"I'm sorry am I interrupting something?" Devale said walking in with balloons

"No, Hey D wassup" I said smiling ear to ear "thank you for coming"

Devale- no problems baby mama ( handing me the balloons )

"I appreciate it, how's the kids?" I asked him sitting up on the bed

Devale- They're good, can't wait to meet their sister, she's beautiful Crys

"Thanks D you can Hold-" I was cut off by Kevin "No, he can't" he said standing up "I don't mean to be rude but why is he here?" He asked me "umm he's my friend one of the only friends I have left" I said giving him a strange look "Why does it matter anyways you're not her dad" I blurted out

Devale- No Crys, it's okay ( kissing my hand ) I'll go. I'll come back and bring the kids to see her it's no big deal

"Devale you don't have to" I said feeling bad for Kevin's actions

Devale- It's okay ( walking out the door )

"Really? What is wrong with you?" I asked him clearly irritated

Kevin- I'm just confused, you say you don't want him but you always want him around. This baby isn't his but yet you've had him at the baby shower and now at her birth. You act as if I'm not even here

"First of all like I just told you we share 4 living kids and one deceased kid together he's always going to be around as my friend, nothing is going on between me and him and I'd appreciate it if you stop with the insecure shit" I snapped on him

Kevin- It's not insecurity Crystal, I see every time he comes around how big your smile gets. When he brung his girlfriend to the baby shower I can see the pain in your face I watched you watch them, if you're stringing me along now is the time to say it before I make a mistake and marry you

"If you think proposing to me was a mistake then maybe you shouldn't have done it! I don't want Devale we are happy where we at! He's moved on I've moved on! We are friends for those kids sake and that's it so drop this shit or just leave" I snapped again this time I was fed up with his accusing

Kevin- You still haven't answered me what reason is he here right now in this moment if that's not his kid ?

"Because maybe I wanted it to be" I mumbled

Kevin- What did you say ?

"Nothing , babe look can we not do this right now? I'm still tired, the baby's sleeping let's just drop this" I said trying not to show my true emotion

Kevin- Fine, You hungry?

"Yeah actually I am, what are you getting?" I asked him putting on a fake smile

Kevin- ( smiling ) Whatever you want baby

"Surprise me" I said chuckling a little "nothing spicy tho"

Kevin left to go get us food after about 5 minutes Devale came in again. "D, I thought you were leaving?" I asked him as I got up to get Morgan

Devale- I was but I decided to come back and support you, where's Kevin?

"He went to get us food, he should be back soon" I said trying to hint to him he shouldn't be here

Devale- That's cool, I'll leave when he comes back, can I hold her?

"Of course you can" I said putting Morgan in his arms

Devale- Is that a ring on your finger?

"Umm yea" I said nervously "he asked me before you walked in"

Devale- You ready for that?

"I think so, yea" I lied I honestly don't think I am but I know Kevin is nervous about losing me to Devale and I wanted to reassure him that wouldn't happen

Devale- Well you have my support, congratulations

"Thank you" I smiled "She likes you, she's calm with you"

Devale- Well I am her dad she's supposed to ( smiling ) Hey baby girl daddy's here

"Devale" I said feeling my eyes get watery "You don't have to be responsible for a kid that isn't yours"

Devale- You'd do the same for me and if that Josh nigga won't step up I'm here 100% as long as you'll let me be, I know you're engaged I don't wanna intrude

"I'm sure he'll understand I just have to talk to him about everything, he really hates the fact that we're friends but I told him we've both happily moved on" I explained

Devale- ( mumbling ) yea sure

"What?" I asked him

Devale- Nothing, thanks for letting me see her I think I'm gonna go before your man gets back don't wanna cause any trouble

"No thank you for all that you've been doing" I said to him as he laid Morgan down. "Drive safe" I said while hugging him for what felt like forever but our hug was quickly broken when Kevin walked in.
