New Beginnings

CRYSTAL

"Lani let's go, we're  gonna be late for our flight!" I yell up the stairs.

"Okayyyy mom I'm coming, just have to grab my suitcase" she said from upstairs.

"Is uncle Josh meeting us at the airport?" she says as she rolls her suitcase down the stairs.

"Yes baby he is so we gotta hurry up before we miss our flight let's go" I said heading out to the car.

It's been a long 5 years and today is Milan's 9th birthday. We're going to Disney world as she always wants to do every year. She just can't let that go.  Me, her and my boyfriend Josh are headed to the airport. Because of work he has to meet us there and all of us are running behind.

I've been with Josh the last 2 years and the feeling has been bittersweet. Sometimes I feel like I'm too damaged to love anyone the right way but he's been showing me just how to be patient with him. After Devale I really fell into a state of depression. Barely eating, sleeping, or going out. He hasn't even tried to contact me or Milan to figure out where we are or even to attempt to be in her life. Jaxson still kept in contact with me on a regular basis and that's how I kept updates on the boys. Once he turned 18 I allowed him to fly out and see Lani a few times. Now he's away at college. As far as my career I took on modeling and that is where I met Josh. He was one of my photographers and from the day we met we've been inseparable.

"Made it just in time" Josh said as he helped me and Lani get our bags out of the car.

"Hey baby" I said giving him a kiss "let's go board this flight"

Once we landed in Florida, we didn't waste any time for fun. We took Milan anywhere she wanted and got her whatever she wanted and we did this for a week straight and it was time to finally come home.

BACK IN ATLANTA

"Lani baby your brother is flying in today he's on spring break" I said to her as I prepared dinner it was about 5pm and jaxsons flight landed at 6.

"Did he bring the boys this time mom?" She asked me sounding a bit sad

"Not this time" I said lifting her head up "I promise I'll get you to see your brothers soon"

"Pinky promise?" Showing me her pinky

"Pinky promise!" I said locking pinky's with her.

DEVALE

12pm on the phone
"Baby I promise I'll be back in New York before you know it" I said to Kayla as I waited at the airport for Jaxson

"I'm just not sure you seeing her is a good idea babe" she said with sadness in her voice.

"It's not about me seeing her or her seeing me, it's about my kids seeing their mother and my daughter seeing her father and if you're gonna bitch and complain all week you can stop calling me" I said as I hung up on her. 

It's been 5 whole years since I've seen Crystal or Milan. I want to see her to apologize and also to make amends so that I can be a father to all of my children and not just these 4. I've still been with Kayla for the last 5 years and it's been rocky. After Crystal left New York I was forced to move me and the boys in with Kayla. During that time we also got engaged. Kaz is now 14, RoRo is 15, Jaxson is 21 and Kota is 10.

Once Jaxson arrived at the airport we then boarded our flight to Atlanta. 

CRYSTAL

*ding dong* I heard the doorbell ring as me and Josh were singing slow jams setting the table. "Milan get the door baby it's your brother"

She ran to the door so excited "JAXY" I heard her yell from the front door "OH MY GOSH" I heard her yell again as I heard that I ran to the door seeing all 4 of the boys and I ran to hug them "I missed y'all so much" I said holding them tightly

"Did you miss me?" Devale said, walking up behind them and my mouth dropped.
