Nerves, that was what he felt right now. That feeling in the stomach that eats you inside. Because? For the similar anger that would fall upon me as soon as I arrived at the castle.
"Thomas!" I yelled when I saw him asleep in his bed.
-That? What's wrong?" he asked, alarmed.
-Get up.-I ordered him while I took the sheet off him.-It's twelve o'clock in the morning.-I scolded him, sitting next to him.-If we don't go out now, we'll be late. And you don't want to die, do you?
"Ready!" he yelled, going over me to annoy me. "I don't see you looking good."
"Go to hell" I sentenced, throwing the pillow at him.
"Do I have to go?" he asked like a little boy.-No, if you think I'm going to fly to the castle.-I answered going to the door.
-Agg, you have your own car, who cares.-he said tired.
-Listen to me.-I pointed my finger at him.-Don't name that car again.-I whispered looking everywhere.-That woman gave it to me. What do you think would happen if I got to the castle with that?
"Something good?" He was turning into a child and I didn't realize it. "Okay, okay." He raised his hands in surrender when he saw my face.
"Can we go out now?" I asked when I saw that he was already wearing the suit, new, by the way.
-Seeing that if we don't go out, I end up dead. Yes, we can go out now.
-Thanks.-I said sarcastically.
We went downstairs in silence, but it wasn't even necessary. There was no trace of anyone.
"Where is everyone?" Thomas asked surprised.
-Maybe sleeping.-I recriminated him without him noticing.
"Who sleeps until these hours?" he asked as he opened the front door.
"You!" I yelled passing by him, finding nothing more and nothing less than the motorcycle. "Are we going to ride that again?"
"Don't you like it?" This time it was him, the one who passed by me with an air of grandeur.
-I don't see it as safe for an apocalypse.-I answered climbing up and grabbing Thomas.-So give me that.-I snatched one of the helmets that was on the handlebars.
"Ready?" he asked with a laugh. She didn't even let me answer her, as soon as she asked the question, she started the engine with force.
That's why I thought motorcycles weren't safe, you didn't even have a seatbelt so you wouldn't be thrown off. The bad thing would be if we had an accident. Is it that Thomas has never thought that a vampire could get ahead of him?
Motorcycles were definitely not my thing.
We had just left the city behind. The trees began to look bigger and bigger, he loved nature about that, there was no doubt about it. I turned my head slightly, the dust we left behind could be visible for miles. Why was Thomas going so fast? Because?
"Thomas?" I was forced to call him when I saw how he accelerated.
"We have company." He made a small signal with his fingers, indicating that he should look to the right. I blinked a few times in disbelief, three vampires were running through the trees with the intention of reaching us. "We have to get there before wh_." A vampire had just stood in the middle of the road, as if he were waiting for his prey. Hold on.-he whispered as he accelerated even more.
-Bu_.-I was about to complain when something caught my attention.
His mouth, full of blood, enormous fangs. Cracked skin, blue veins all over her face. I will never forget that scene. I had seen vampires, yes, but never this gaunt.
