-Good morning.-I opened my eyes suddenly, prepared for anything.-Good morning.-Hilaria's mother repeated when she saw how I sat up in bed.-Come on, get out of bed.-She went to one of the curtains. Is she going to do what I think she's going to do? -It's a beautiful day.- I don't know if that was the most beautiful thing, but the sun was not present. Was this how they liked their days? depressing? sad?

"Is it raining?" I asked with a rough voice.

"Wow, that throat doesn't seem to be in good condition." She cocked her head sadly. "We'll tell Lucy to examine you later."

-Thanks.-I said not very sure.

-And no, it's not raining, but...-she caressed the curtains gently.-...it will soon.

-How do you know?

"Oh darling." In the blink of an eye she was already sitting next to me. "You don't have to treat me like you." She directed her hand to my cheek. "You can also call me Isabelle, now we are family."

"Okay...okay." I stammered when I noticed how I left a lock of my hair behind my ear.

"You have beautiful hair." He smiled sideways. "I could envy him." Are you a natural redhead?

-Y_yes.

-What a beautiful surprise.-He jumped up.-Come on, they are waiting for us.

"Who?" I asked confused getting up from the bed.

-Who are they going to be?-he let out a small laugh.-Everyone. We have to have breakfast to gather strength.

-So that?

-You like to ask questions, huh. We'll do a little... excursion.- she opened the door of the room, leaving me confused.-I'll wait outside for you to change. Hurry up!

"But..." I didn't even have time to recriminate her for something, she had already closed the door quickly.

Excursion? What the hell? Where were Hilaria and Victoria when they were needed?

Isabelle had managed to leave an overly enticing scent throughout the room. What fragrance would she use? Was she because she herself was a vampire? She had heard rumors that vampires could charm you by their very nature. But the smell? That was extreme madness.

My boots were worn from the last round, but they were the most comfortable in this place. I wasn't going to wear heels to go hiking, especially if there's a chance I'd have to run for my life.

"Are you ready yet?" Isabelle asked once she had opened the door to leave.

-I think so.

-Okay, let's go.-I was surprised to notice how she intertwined our arms.-The weather calls for a good excursion.

-How do you know that?

Oh, sorry dear. I haven't answered you before.-he squeezed my hand as an apology.-I have the small gift of knowing how time is going to act at each moment.

"It doesn't seem small to me." He looked at me out of the corner of his eye as soon as we entered through the dining room door.

"I like you very well," he whispered as he released our hold. "Good morning, darlings."

-Good morning.- everyone greeted him, who were already at the table waiting for us.

"Let's sit down," she whispered again, gently pushing me towards Hilaria and Victoria, who kept me a place between them.

-Good morning.-they whispered at the same time as soon as I sat next to them.

-Hello.-I greeted nervously.
