Killing vampires can be very difficult at first, but you get used to it. You always do, no matter what it costs you. If you're still alive so far, you've had to end the life of at least one.

The worst of all? Look at their faces, at their eyes, at his features. Everything with which in another life they could have been recognized by other people. A father, a mother, a daughter, and so we could go on until we decipher an entire family.

His clothes also managed to make a click in your heart, at least in mine. And it is that to see what they were engaged in in the past world, also managed to wreak havoc.

A week had passed since Adrian Wilson's life had ceased completely, since his eyes had been closed forever.

I met Adrián in the first year of his degree, and from that moment on we had been inseparable. His jokes managed to make me smile whenever he wanted. His eyes, those beautiful eyes that he never tired of looking at.

The day it all started I had a trip, I was really happy. His parents had given him an all-expenses-paid cruise for being one of the first in the promotion.

He lived with his sister, Greta Wilson. So the only thing that occurred to me was that he must have been bitten before taking the boat. He must have been one of the first converts, so unfortunate that Greta was present.

Something did not match, he spoke and was aware of everything. So why wasn't he on watch? Why wasn't he like Thomas? Something wasn't quite right.

Someone wanted me dead, that was the only thing I was sure of.

With little desire that I had, I took the last soup spoon to my mouth. I was confined to the room, my only contact with the outside world was the visits from Lucy, who was already well, and Victoria, who only appeared at night when I fell asleep, but even so, I managed to feel how she was sinking into bed and he caressed my forehead. She hadn't heard from Hilaria, or Thomas, all week.

Something was wrong, of that there was no doubt.

Some strong blows managed to get me out of my thoughts. I left the tray on one side of the window and with a cold voice, as Lucy told me to pronounce, pronounce:

"Go ahead." I didn't even look at the door. I just focused on the trees that were perceived through the window.

"Good afternoon." Hilaria's voice forced me to turn my head suddenly. "Can I sit down?" she asked, pointing to the left side of the window seat.

"I guess." I raised my shoulders and turned my head again. "When can I go out?" I asked him once he had sat next to me. I looked at her out of the corner of my eye, the black dress she was wearing made her look even more toned. Her eyes were on me.

-The threat has been resolved, so now.-she replied thoughtfully. I smiled firmly, I didn't think twice and jumped up. "Wait." A hand on my arm prevented me from taking the first step. "Can we talk?" She asked sadly. I looked at the grip of her hand, which she removed as soon as she saw my gaze. I sat down again in the same place.-I_I.-she began to say nervously. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and snorted hard. "I don't think you're weak, really."Her eyes widened, meeting mine. "She hadn't felt it for a long time.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Scared," she answered suspiciously. "I was afraid of losing you," she assumed, closing her eyes again. "Seeing you standing there in that place full of vampires." She left the sentence hanging in the air when she felt how I had put my hand on her arm .

"I can take care of myself." I assured him.

-Oh, I know.-She widened her eyes.-I know you're more than capable, I'm sure of that. And for that, I wanted to apologize. I had no right to call you something you're not.

"Okay, apologies accepted." I smiled satisfied.

"Really?" he asked, unable to believe it.

"Yes." I assured him, tightening my grip. "I can see it in your eyes." I turned my gaze back to the forest as I lowered my hand from his arm to his.

"The what?" I noticed his gaze on me.

-When you confess something to me you get nervous. –I confessed omitting a laugh.

"It's not true," she said like a little girl. I dared to look at her with an amused face.

-Yes it is.-I reassured him. Without thinking about it, I brought my presence closer to his so I could see his eyes.-See? I am right.

"No," he whispered, lowering his gaze to my lips. And it was at that moment that I realized our remarkable closeness.

"Y_yes." I whispered nervously. I raised my hand so I could touch her forehead, she tensed instantly. "Your forehead wrinkles when you do it."

"That's not possible." He kept thinking that he was right.

"I ass_." My words ceased when I saw how her face was even closer. "I'm right." I whispered.

"I'm sorry about your friend." he whispered without taking off, now his gaze from my eyes. A loud screeching outside forced us to separate at once. "Shit," she muttered angrily.

A large black vehicle had just "parked" in front of the castle. All the guards quickly approached him, but without any weapons, something that managed to confuse me even more.

"Who are they?" I asked, swallowing hard as I saw how the guards bowed a lot while another opened the back door.

"Who are they?" I asked, swallowing hard as I saw how the guards bowed a lot while another opened the back door.

-My family.-I swallowed again, watching a lady in a totally black dress, get out of the car. Her enormous seriousness was even scary. A man who was too tall came out from the other door of the car without waiting for the guards to open the door for him. "And Victoria's family." I looked at her with fear, unable to believe it.

I turned my head again, as soon as I did, I found two women and two men with extraordinary beauty. But that was not all, from the back it began to be seen how black hair came out of the car. A boy of more or less my age began to walk towards the others, while he fixed his tie with an air of superiority.

I gasped as Hilaria placed her hands on my waist and positioned me on either side of her body, not letting me see more of what was happening.

"What are you doing?" I whispered nervously as I pressed closer to his body.

"Don't move." he whispered while he had his head turned to see out the window. "He's Victoria's brother." He has an enormous fixation for humans.-he explained nervously.-Get up very slowly, okay?

"Okay." I replied, doing what he had asked me to do.

After a few seconds he was already away from Hilaria. The door being flung open caused her to jump in fright.

-We have a problem.-Victoria sentenced, closing the door with force.

-Several.-Hilaria told him as she got up and approached me.-You smell too much.-she muttered.

"Don't tell me?" Victoria asked ironically. "Almost the entire castle smells of her." She sounded too worried.

"But what's going on?" I asked, upset.

-That if they smell you, they will come for you.-explained Hilaria.

-And more my family.-Victoria followed him.

"And how do I get rid of my smell?" I had never thought that I would say that sentence.

-It's not possible. They are too old not to do it.-Hilaria opened the bathroom door.-You have to apply as much cologne as possible.

"It's going to stink, Hilaria," Victoria told her.

-That's better than smelling your scent.-suddenly he came out with a bunch of perfume bottles.-Raise your arms.-I did what he asked me, seconds later I started to feel a strong gust with thousands of smells. Yes, she was going to suck. "Well, at least this will give us more tim _." She was interrupted by an overly concerned Lucy.

"Your families know of Maia's existence." This day couldn't get any worse.
