~A/N- I'm sorry I haven't been posting it lately, I've had time off of work and decided to take some time off. Give myself a little break. Well I'm back and I'm hoping to have this done by the end of the month. So anyway, remember to vote and comment. I'd love to see reactions to things. Even though this part is in the movies, still. Love y'all. ENJOY!!~

~Five Years Later and Steve's POV~

After five years we've all gone to different places. Where have we all gone? What do we do? How do we adapt to the new world? That's what we do. Adapt.

Nat and I aren't together anymore. She wanted to go through it alone and pushed me away. She's been trying to find a way to fix the world. I've been trying to help people just by sitting and talking to them. That's what brought me to a group meeting for people willing to talk about their lives after Thanos.

"So I, uh," Joe started. "Went on a date the other day. It's the first time in five years, you know? I'm sitting there at dinner." He shrugged. "I didn't even know what to talk about." I nodded.

"What did you talk about?" I asked him.

"Same old crap, you know?" I nodded as he spoke. "How things have changed, and, my job, his job. How much we miss the Mets." He paused and sighed. "And then things get quiet. He cried as they were serving the salads."

"What about you?" Jim asked him. Joe's boyfriend went with the snap. They were together for six years beforehand. We all told him that he was gone. That he was never coming back. So we urged him to move on.

"I cried just before dessert." He looked at me. "But I'm seeing him again tomorrow, so." He said.

"That's great." I said nodding. "You did the hardest part. You took the jump, you didn't know where you were gonna come down." I looked at the group. Cameron across from me had a tear coming out of his eye. "And that's it. That's those little brave baby steps we gotta take. To try and become whole again, try and find purpose. I went in the ice in '45 right after I met the love of my life." I looked down for a split second and interlaced my fingers. "Woke up 70 years later. Then I met another person, then we stopped because of the snap." I sighed. "You gotta move on. Gotta move on." I looked down at my hands. "The world is in our hands." I said putting my hand up to demonstrate. "It's left to us guys, and we got to do something with it. Otherwise," I shrugged. "Thanos should have killed all of us."

~Nat's POV~

I was at the compound talking to Rocket, Carol, Okoye, Nebula, and Rhody, and making myself a PB&J. I cut it in half as Rocket started talking.

"Yeah, we boarded that highly suspect warship Danvers pinged."

"It was an infectious garbage scowl." Nebula added.

"So, thanks for the hot tip." He snarkly said.  [turns to Danvers and replies back with a smirk]

"Well, you were closer." She tilted her head.

"Yeah. And now we smell like garbage." He snapped back. I went around the desk. I looked at Okoye and changed the subject.

"You get a reading on those tremors?" I asked.

"It was a mild subduction under the African plate." She explained.

"Do we have a visual? How are we handling it?"

"Nat," Okoye sighed. "It's an earthquake under the ocean. We handle it by not handling it." I turned to Carol.

"Carol, are we seeing you here next month?" I asked her.

You've reached the end of published parts.
