~Y/N's POV~

When Nat told me, 'Kick his ass and show him who's boss,'  I planned to do just that. When I ran I jumped, he ducked, and turned in the air and kicked him in the back. He turned around and walked in large strides at me. I ran two steps and slid between his leg and pulled one of them in the process getting him on the ground. I stood up and put my foot on his chest. I smirked at myself. But, he grabbed my ankle and pushed it to where I was on the ground. He got on top of me and pinned my hands above my head.

"Take it easy." He said.

"Not a chance." I answered. "Again." He got off of me and I stood up quickly.  We stood less than three feet from each other and I made the first move. I kicked my foot up, putting it on his shoulder, and pulling myself onto his shoulders. I took the chance and swung myself back, me still on his shoulders my hands reached the ground and my legs let him go. He was on the ground. "Again." He didn't hesitate when I said that. He came at me real fast and punched me on the right side of my face. He kicked me in the stomach. I was backed into a wall. He took his hand and wrapped it around my throat and lifted me up against the wall to where my feet weren't on the ground.

~Nat's POV~

I heard a loud thud and I looked behind me and see Y/N up against the wall. Bucky was holding her there.

"Y/N!" I scream. I run over.

"James, please." I heard her try to say.

"BUCKY!" Steve yelled. Nothing happened. Her eyes rolled back. I pushed him off of her and they both fell to the ground. I knelt to the ground next to her. Her throat was red and already starting to bruise. I could see her chest rising and falling. She was okay.

"What the hell was that, Bucky?" I yelled at him. Steve picked her up, her body was limp in his arms.

"I don't know." He said quietly. Steve walked out with her.

"Well, figure it out, because this is what she was afraid of." Shit.

"What?" He asked. I went to walk away but I felt his hand grab my arm. "What does that mean, Nat?" He asked again.

"You killed her parents when she was six." I whispered. "She was scared you were gonna hurt her, again."

"Again?" He asked.

"That scar on her collar-bone is from 'the man from the house'. That's what she called you." I said.

"She was six. I killed her parents when she was six years old." I could tell by his shock he felt anger and sadness.

"I need to go check on her." I went to walk away.

"Wait!" He called and I turned around. "What specifically did I do to her? Did she tell you?" He  asked.

"She never had the courage to. All she would say was that, 'he gave it to me. And it's a reminder everyday that I was helpless little girl. If he could see me now. If they could see me know.'" I quoted. "She says it often." I left him in the training room and ran to the medbay. I could see her through the glass. Steve was standing there. "He's fine. He saw her as a threat and he snapped and took it out on her." I said. I saw Bruce in there checking her vitals, so I knocked on the window. He walked out.

"She'll be fine. When she wakes up she'll need to take it easy and she'll need to rest her voice." He said. I laughed.

"If you knew Y/N like I do. You would know she doesn't talk much at all anyways. And  she doesn't listen to 'doctor's orders'." I used my hand for quotation marks."

~A Few Hours Later~

I saw a sudden movement from the corner of my eye. I see Y/N pulling out the IVs and getting up from bed. "Told ya she wouldn't take it easy.." I smirked and ran in. "Hey, calm down. You're fine."

"He tried to kill me." Her voice sounded hoarse.

"He's still not fully in control of himself, Y/N." I explained.

"Why do you always do that?" She whispered.

"What?"

"The 'see the best in people act'."

"I do it so I don't have any grudges. You should try it sometime."

"I'm not like you, Nat. I don't see the best in people. I get to know it. I got to know it in you and Wanda. Steve is just a good guy in general." She coughed. It sounded bad.

"Hey let's take it easy." I said.

"I'll be in my room." I started to walk behind her. "Alone." I stopped walking. She was gone. I took a deep breath in, then out.

"She'll be okay." I heard Steve's voice. "She's just needs some time." I nodded and he hugged me and kissed the top of my head. "Are you gonna be okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm just worried about her."

"Put yourself in her shoes, okay?" I nodded.
