She doesn't look good at all, I'm hurt that she felt the need to lie to all of us but the look on her face when I walked in made my stomach hurt. She looks awful, bags under her eyes, she looks skinnier if that's possible, she's not been caring for herself. I want to know why.
"I wasn't exaggerating jackson, you saw how she looked, both of you did, ever since ive got back this is the first time i've seen her, the first time i heard her speak, she's going to make herself ill if she carries on, she's not been eating, drinking or sleeping by the looks of it, i just want to help her" Mayla sniffles, she's crying.
"I know babe and we'll help her, we need to get to the bottom of this" jackson says to calm her down
She's not been eating, that's why she looks skinnier,what has happened between now and that day to bring this on.
"What happened with her dad Theo, i need you to tell me"
"I think she should tell you Mayla" it doesn't feel right to tell her but it's either I do and she can help Quinn or Quinn wont tell her and she'll keep suffering in silence.
"Theo, please just tell me" she begs
"Come on man, we just want to help her" Baker chimes in.
"Fine, she went to her fathers the night of our last game, things escalated and he got pissed at her for being there, he was blaming her for the accident with her mom, saying that it should of been her that died instead,things got worse and he hit her, she fell from the force of it and hit her head. She called jesse to come get her because she felt faint and didn't want to risk driving but stacey was with him and she ended the calls so she called me, before you say anything she didn't want to call you guys because she didn't want to interrupt your night, she's selfless like that, it's one of the things i love about her, she's always putting other people before her but it needs to stop because i can't have her like this, not again"
"Omg thats why she called me instead of facetiming me, i'm annoyed at jesse but this isn't the first time he wasn't there for her, i cant believe that her dad is treating her like that, i wish she would of just told me how things at home were actually like" Mayla cries.
"What do you mean this isn't the first time he wasn't there for her, babe?" I was about to ask the same question before Baker did.
"When the accident happened, he just blanked her and me, he didn't come round once, he never messaged or anything, he only bothered after he decided that he was going to transfer." Mayla sounds angry about it but I would be too if my best friend had just gone through what Quinn did and my other best friend didn't bother with any of us.
"He tore his ACL in a car accident at the start of the summer so it's not like he could do anything about that or try and see her" I try to justify it.
"What? I never knew that" Mayla sounds shocked
"Wow, that must have killed, when did Quinn's accident happen?" Baker cringes at the thought
"Start of the summer" me and Mayla answer at the same time.
Baker pulls a face, it gets me thinking about everything, it could be a coincidence but it might not be.
"I think Jesse was involved in Q's accident" i state
"I was about to suggest that too but i didn't want to jump to any conclusions" baker sighs
"What?why? There was no one else on the road that night" Mayla questions
"What car accident happens from looking at someone for a few seconds on a empty road? It doesn't make any sense, he was in a car accident around the same time, he told me his dad paid off the police so it wouldn't be public knowledge that his perfect son did such a thing, it would ruin both of their reputations."
"It makes sense but we shouldn't be jumping to any conclusions, we need answers, solid answers that can confirm it" Baker says firmly
Maylas trying to wrap her head around it as well, ill won't be giving Quinn any more space, i'm not having her getting ill now i know how she's looking.
I've been messaging Quinn non-stop, sending her texts throughout the day. I'm not getting a reply, I have a game later tonight before the break is over. Everything is going through my head, the accident, Jesse, his accident. I'm trying to make sense of it all. It's all leading to the same conclusion. I need to ask Jesse about it but I think Quinn should be the one to find out, the only time I see Cooper now is at practice or at a game,he moved out over thanksgiving. Thank God for that because if he was actually involved in the accident that would be awkward.
