Quinn, the girl from the end of year party, I couldn't forget the face now that I know it. Jesse Cooper the transfer and new guy on the team is walking her out, she turns to say bye to him and her eyes go over to me, I give her a grin. i'm sure that's the person who picked her up from the party, he must be her boyfriend but i might be wrong, there has been no relationship things done like kissing or maybe she's just shy because the second her eyes reach mine she looks away, she's probably a shy girl. A pretty little wallflower.
There's not only one thing different with her this year, she looks exhausted and like she isn't even here, her body is but her mind isn't , she's not taking any care in her appearance and now there's a long jagged scar from her ear to underneath her jaw. When Jesse makes her laugh that's when I notice it. I'm racking my brain to figure out if it was there before or not. Is it old? Is it new? But it does look new and i know what a fresh one looks like because of hockey, i've seen many of them. How did it happen? When did it happen? My mind is going through loops trying to figure it all out.
I was jealous that night because I didn't want Jones to have what I wanted,I don't understand it, it would have been one night and one night only so the jealousy doesn't make any sense. Seeing that scar has made me feel like I need to protect her but that isn't my job, it's Coopers. I decided that sitting there and thinking about her isn't a good idea and that I should start getting ready for practice.
We're doing laps of the rink, followed by a set of drills and I can feel Copper's eyes on me so I skate over to him "got a problem ?" I asked him "Yeah, I do actually, stop making Quinn feel uncomfortable" "how have I made your girl uncomfortable cooper?" "Just stop staring, it's already bad as it is and she doesn't need you dragging unwanted attention to her", my is mind made up, it's definitely new and I want to know how she got it,she doesn't seem like she is his, if she is he did a shitty job of defending her.
