CHAPTER TWELVE
ALEX'S POV
I thought I'd been in awkward situations before but this, this out awkwarded anything. Kendal, Marcus, and I sat at the kitchen table in silence. Kendal was pushing her breakfast around her plate obviously not wanting to eat it, although Marcus scoffed it down and even got seconds.
I looked at Kendal and couldn't help but feel guilty, I'd slept with her brother. But didn't she say she thought I liked him? So it can't be that much of a big deal, right? Wrong, of course it's a big deal she walked in on her friend and her brother naked together. I giggled out loud and blushed when the two of them looked at me.
"I'm not hungry anymore." Kendal said bringing her bowl to the sink. "I'll be in my room." She said then walked up the stairs.
"Kendal, wait." I said but she didn't stop, she kept walking up the stairs. I didn't mind she went upstairs though, private seemed pretty nice right now. I walked up the stairs, leaving Marcus at the table, and walked into her room. I closed the door behind me then sat down on the sofa in her room.
"Look Ken, I'm sorry." I said looking at her on her bed. She looked at me serious for a few seconds, then smiled weakly.
"No, I'm sorry. I over reacted, it's just I always knew that one day you would tell me about how you liked my brother, but I didn't think I'd find out like...like that." She said pulling a sweatshirt over her head.
"Wait, you knew?" I asked, I didn't think I was that obvious.
"I've known since like eighth grade. I'm not mad at you, I'm just a little grossed out right now. I mean not about you, but about my brother." She said grossed out, I laughed. "So are you two like together? Or did you just hook up?" She asked curiously.
"Um, we're like together. " I said, "He asked me this morning."
"He asked you what?" Kendal asked sitting up on her bed.
"...to be his girlfriend." I said nervously, Kendal started clapping her hands laughing. I gave her a confused look.
"What? You're still my best friend, this is like your first boyfriend in what, like almost a year? Since Jordan." She said, surprising me.
"Jordan doesn't count, and what about Cedrick?" I asked, glad we were back to not as awkward.
"Jordan counts, but Cedrick doesnt." She said.
"He totally counts!"
"You guys lasted like what? 2 weeks? You and Jordan lasted like two months." She said, then we heard a knock at the door.
"Come in." Ken said, then Marcus walked in. "Yes?"
"I was just wondering if you guys were all better?" Marcus said looking at his sister than to me.
"Yeah, we're fine." I told him. Marcus smiled at me, then whispered in my ear.
"Did you tell her?" He asked me. Tell her what?
"What?" I asked him, getting one of Kendal sweatshirts. Damn, it's abnormally cold.
"Kendal I'm dating you friend." Marcus said looking at me, then kissed my cheek and walked out.
"We know." Kendal said. "Now get out we're having girl time."
.............................................................
Hey guys, first I'd like to apoligise for the lengths of my chapters, or should I say lack of. Right now, I'm home sick with the stomach bug and wanted to just give you guys something.
Second, I said the other day in my other story that I got accepted into the university of york in england! yayy, I live in the carolinas right now, but I moved here from england when I was 10 or 11. I have made my decision to go there, since I still have loads of family and old friends there. Of course it's going to suck being away from my friends and boyfriend, but Matthew and I (my boyfriend) are going to try and make it work, fingers crossed. I'll be starting in the fall, so to my fellow brits maybe I'll walk past you or something haha.
Oh and is anyone as excited for the royal wedding as I am? Oh my gosh they are such a cute couple, and their kids will be so extreamly good looking lmao. Atleast Prince Harry is still single ;) haha just kidding.
