𝕺onagh inhaled deeply, eyes closing contentedly when the chilly, fresh air inflated her lungs.
The natural breeze kissing her skin isn't exactly the same as it is back home, but wonderful nevertheless. This one is earthy, rich in pine and citrus from the forests surrounding the Hogwarts grounds in the Scottish Highlands. All of this opposed to the sweet, salty essence the sea washes her in back at the cottage.
And Merlin does she love the sea. Loves the way the wind becomes the orchestral conductor of the waves, sending them into crescendos as they wildly crash against the rocky cliffs. Kerry's cliffs. It's free, everlasting, and calming and the tiniest bit dangerous all at the same time.
For now though, she's at Hogwarts, enjoying the magical landscapes she'll be sure to miss one day when her years attending are over.
A crowded number of crimson toadstools caught her eye as she drifted on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, not hesitating to find her sky blue camera in her bag, snapping a polaroid for her collection.
"They're lovely, aren't they?"
Oonagh nods, steadying herself from wobbling on her knees in response to the unexpected, whimsical voice from nowhere. When she turns, the first thing she sees is a pair of very pale, very bare feet on the ground, rather comfortable considering the twigs and sharp rocks there's a possibility of standing on.
Then, she manages to stand herself up, becoming face to face with pearly hair and pale, misty eyes, brimming with kindness and friendliness. Oonagh smiles softly, planting her camera back in her bag when she agrees easily,
"They are. It's not my typical capture though, usually I'm one for the sky or the sea..."
Luna tilts her head back, glancing upwards to the cloudy sky, then levelling back down to Oonagh with upturned lips, deciding, "Yes, I can tell. It suits you"
"Thank you. Can I ask?" She wonders, gesturing down to her bare feet curiously, Luna's head nodding, swaying slightly from side to side when she answers airily,
"It helps me keep in touch with nature, you can really feel the magic of the earth. I often believe it's not appreciated enough by others, you know?"
Oonagh did know. Majority of people living the planet wouldn't spare a second thought or truly appreciate where they are, the sublime scenery, the detailed intricacies that went into crafting the Universe. She always had, from being just a teeny, tiny girl, she always admired everything she had in sight — it's horrifying to see now what's happening to it, especially with the Wizarding War wrecking everything most dear.
A sigh escaped her, blue eyes now glazed and saddened, as though mourning the loss and praying not much more gets wickedly snatched away from their tight holds. It was a deep, dull thought for an early morning.
