𝕱or his weekend detention, Draco ensured that he was outside of Mcgonagall's classroom bright and early.

Whilst all of his friends were boarding snowy carriages, dressed in their finest attire for the first trip to Hogsmeade village of the year, he was in for spending some quality time with the headmistress.

He wasn't particularly bitter about it, this worked, this helped with his plans, and even if Mcgonagall could sometimes be prejudiced by favouring her Gryffindors — like any other head of house there — more often than not she had a strong sense of justice, and was equally fair. This would work. Deep breath in, deep breath out.

Subconsciously, he fiddles with his family ring, twisting and pulling until his cool skin underneath began to burn from friction, along with the Malfoy family motto nagging at his mind — 'Sanctimonia Vincet Semper', Purity Will Always Conquer — Malfoy's will always come out on top, and that's the way it's supposed to be.

Deep breath in, deep breath out.

"Oh, Mr Malfoy, good, you're here. Come in"

His eyes snap open from the sound of Mcgonagall's voice, and the classroom door being unlocked, his eyebrow quirking when she gestured for him to enter before her. He shakes his head, holding the door open for her rather instead, conflicted between being incredibly smug or incredibly offended from the look of surprise flashing across her features. Oh, yes, he can be a proper gentleman when he likes.

The door creaks closed behind them as he steps in after her, taking one of the seats in the centre middle of the transfiguration classroom. He was pleasantly surprised that the caged birds, reptiles and furry animals had disappeared for the day, he didn't fancy himself having to listen to their unnecessary noise all day, like in lessons.

At the front, Mcgonagall shuffled some of her papers, and books, barely lifting her head when she announces, "You may get started on the two homework's you missed whilst I wait for my other delinquent"

"Other delinquent?" Draco echoes, again undecided whether he should be amused or irked, before the meaning behind her statement flooded his stomach with dread, especially when she hums plainly,

"Yes, the other delinquent who refuses to complete my set homework"

Shortly after the professor finished speaking the door knob turned and the familiar click turned both of their attention to the newcomer in the classroom, a barely muffled groan thundering through Draco's throat, cursing the inevitable. Because naturally, it would her, always her.

Oonagh stops short, unable to contain her wild surprise from the revelation of the silver haired and pale eyed boy also being cooped up by Mcgonagall for detention. Once staring at him for a long moment, she drags her eyes up to the faintly smirking elder witch, shaking the dusty broom grasped in her left hand,
