𝕯raco swallows, eyes falling closed to focus on the sound of the waves below.
On the terrible scuffing sound of Ugg boots approaching up behind. At the back pockets of his jeans, hands, soft and dainty, slip inside, squeezing mischievously. The corner of his mouth twitches, tugs upwards uncontrollably when then, there's a gentle pressing, nestling, between his tender shoulder blades.
"We don't have to go, if you don't want" Oonagh murmurs into the snuggly fabric of his handsome sweater.
Draco shifts, outstretching his arms behind, ring adorned hands lightly grasping the tops of her thighs, hugged so nicely by the flared jeans she'd made him laugh dancing around the bedroom trying to wiggle into after their shared morning shower. That's what their whole morning had been, laughs, smiles and giggles that felt so bloody good after the nightmare couple of months they've had.
As they hours progressed on, those laughs became quieter, giggles throatier and smiles tight with nervousness. Because Remus had extended the invitation for the pair of them to go and meet the baby Oonagh has the honour of protecting for life. Only that means that they also meet clumsy and quirky, Nymphadora Tonks and her mother, Andromdea. Draco's estranged Aunt and cousin.
He's a bundle of nerves to say the least.
"No"
He breathes, surveying the landscape that appears never-ending, all free, everlasting and wonderfully calming. And blue. It's all so blue, blue, blue. Whilst he loves that, he loves something else leaps and bounds more, a blue that nothing, past, present or future, could ever even try to compare to. It was one of the very first things Draco noticed about her, besides that she was too damn nosy and she had one hell of a nose punch.
He knew even back then, those eyes were going to be his downfall. Those eyes, staring up at him as he turns around, all doe-like and ludicrously bright, and suddenly he's catapulted back in time — they're up on the Astronomy Tower, dancing her well-deserved Yule Ball Dance whilst the rest of the castle dreams. No more lousy dates, just them, just him and her, she'd insisted, not knowing Draco had already submitted to that idea weeks earlier. Not knowing that she'd already ruined him for anyone else. There was no one else he wanted in his heart. No one else he wanted to preach all sappy and lovesick to his mother about until he finally got to introduce them.
They weren't there yet, at a time he could introduce them. For now, this was the next best thing.
"I want to go. I want us to know our family" Draco whispers, making Oonagh's heart skip a beat. Skip three beats. That will never not get her.
Our.
His and hers.
Her smile grows soft, rolling up on her tiptoes to plant a kiss between his brows, murmuring into the skin, "I want to know our family too. How about we think of it going to one of our somewhere's?"
