All of the people in the villages located near the Ancient Forest know that a wide variety of flora and fauna dwell within it. Not many villagers ventured into the forest due to it harboring carnivorous creatures, with the exception of the girls. They are drawn in by the sweet aroma of the flowers that grow within the forest, and will brave the forest's threats to pick them. However, unbeknownst to the villagers, a sorcerer named Caligula had also set up shop in the Ancient Forest, taking up refuge in a stone fortress deep within it.

Caligula had been hoping to perfect her magic here with no one to disturb her, but soon had to deal with all these villager girls running around in the forest, chatting about flowers and boys they like. The sorcerer became annoyed with the girls and decided to cast a curse over the forest.
"Hear me girls for if you stray...into this forest to run and play...then forever you're forced to stay...and help nature's predators to catch their prey", the sorcerer chanted. She unleashed a cloud of dark magic over the entire forest. The villagers all soon began noticing that girls would go into the Ancient Forest and not return. A few brave men ventured into the forest to look for the missing girls, and they vanished as well. As word of the missing villager girls spread, a young man named Michael made his way to one of the villages, and noticed the "missing" posted depicting the various girls.

"I heard the local villages have been losing girls in the forest. I have come to enter said forest and attempt to rescue them", Michael declares to the villagers. He takes a set of "missing" flyers with him so he can identify the girls if he finds them, but requests no weapons.
"My own energy powers will be sufficient enough to deal with anything that attacks me. besides, if the girls see someone with a sword or gun coming their way, they might get scared and run", Michael explains. With that, he sets off into the forest.
As Michael journeys through the forest, he sees a myriad of plants, bugs, and animals. As get heads event deeper into the forest, Michael finds himself dodging hole traps dug in the ground.
"Once I find those girls and get them out of here, I gotta tell the villagers to fill in these holes", Michael remarks to himself. he then notices a cute blond girl in a pink miniskirt standing nearby.

She appears to be standing in a small pool of water. Michael checks the "missing" flyers and finds a picture that matches the girl standing before him.
"You're Penny, right?", Michael asks the girl.
"I go by Nepenthes these days", the girl explains, "Something trapped me here and bound me to this pitcher plant. The source of that something is somewhere further into the forest". Michael promises to come back for her, and continues deeper into the forest.
After dodging a few more trap holes, Michael comes to a clearing and sees another girl walking towards him. Michael doesn't need to check the flyers to identity this one, as she's from his home village.

"Sera!", Michael shouts. He and Sera rush towards each other and share a hug for a few seconds.
"If you're here, your sister Mandy can't be far behind", Michael points out.
"She calls herself Mantis these days. The forest has been cursed and all of us girls who came in here became trapped in here. The source of the curse originates from the stone fortress at the heart of the forest", Sera explains. As she and Michael discuss the forest's curse, a girl with strawberry-blonde hair runs up to them.

"You wondered where Mandy, or Mantis, was", Sera remarks.
"I heard your conversation about the curse. I suspect that the stone fortress is home to some kind of evil magic-user and they cast the curse upon the forest", Mandy adds.
"Then we need to go to the stone fortress at the center of the forest, confront this sorcerer, and force them to lift the curse", Michael reasons, "You two coming with me?"
"Count me in", Sera insists.
"I'm not letting you and my sister have all the fun", Mandy adds. With that, the trio heads further into the forest.
