They were in the woods, dark trees covering their surroundings so it would be hard to spot them. They had made a relatively small fire thanks to the branches near by, but it was enough for both of them. Amari was using Oltura's wings as some-sort of blanket, wich to Oltura's displeasure, she couldn't bare to see her little friend (compared to her size) freeze out in the cold.

Amari would tell Oltura stories of her life before this torture in the lab. For example, when she was little she would always get introuble for trying to steal fruits from the market and would be forced to put them back by her older sister. She would always laugh at Amari's mistakes or misbehavior that she assumed every 4-6 year old child would make. Her laugh echoed through the forest witch made Amari laugh herself.

-So Alty, how did you end up inthe lab? Amari asked innocently to Oltura.

-First of all, my name is"Oltura" not "Alty" and second of all, why did you behave more like a thief than a normal toddler?

-Answer MY question first! she insisted

-I was born here... All my life I was tortured in this place, that I kept calling "home"...but deep down, it was just an illusion that my silly kid mind was making up trying to comfort me...Oltura was tearing up when she was nearly finished with her sentence.

Amari scooted into Oltura's lap and hugged her for comfort. Oltura wrapped her arms and wings around her friend, to reciprocate and appreciate this small gesture of affection and comfort that she barely ever had in her life. The emotions flooding through the six-winged angel felt as heavy as a tree on her lungs. Her tears cascaded down her face as she quietly sobbed onto Amari's black hair, holding her tightly. She was a complete stranger to love or any kind of affection, and now this woman, who she thought was the most beautiful girl in her eyes, giving her the love she didn't know she desperately needed.

-I'm so sorry Oltura..i didn't know that this was your life...But just so you'll know, I'll always be there for you...

Oltura didn't know how to respond. She was so full of powerful emotions that had taken over her body, so she just kissed the top of her head.

-Is that supposed to mean "thank you"? She asked with a cocky tone while she giggled between words.

-I guess...Isn't it a sign of friendship or whatever?....She said as Amari gently whipped her tears away from her face

-We people do this as a sign of affection to one-another and most of the time its romantically.

-Oh! Sorry I didn't mean it...She said ashamed of herself.

-No no!...I liked it! She said giggling. Her smile was all the more heart-filled, as they both drifted off to sleep in each-others arms.
