Oltura grabbed Amari's hand as they ran from the zombified wolfs, bears, and even some cougars and other wild cats that surged from shadows of the forest. It was always a nightmare no matter where they went. There was always someone or something out to kill them. Always.
A zombified tiger leapt out of the small hoard of beasts, barrelling into Oltura, scratching her fiercely and hitting an almost fatal blow to the back of her neck.
Oltura collapsed to the floor while resisting the tiger and the hoard trying to eat her.
-Amari! Run! Now! Oltura yelled as Amari struggled, hesitating between helping Oltura and risking her life for her or running as Oltura ordered and potentially leaving her for dead. It didn't take long to make her decision. She charged, kicking the tiger in the head, nearly ripping it off. Oltura got up, struggling to fight by Amari's side while trying to protect Amariwith her wings. Amari used her huge snake like tail covered with toxic flowers to knock out a red wolf, a black bear, and even a panther. As the sun rose, she helped Oltura up and supported her giant winged friend. The girls clung to each other as they limped deeper into the forest.
-Have we really fought for thislong? Amari said to herself as she put her friend down to examine her wounds.
She was bleeding from her neck ...very badly. She struggled to stop the flow of blue blood with her hands. A tear of despair fell on the gash on Oltura's neck and a yellowish white light appeared from the wound as well as the many scratches she had on her arms and legs, not to mention the bite marks and all of the deep wounds. Suddenly they were healed, turning into small scratches and bruises which were slowly fading away. All that was left were a few faint scars.
-Of course...I'm probably too weak to fully heal wounds...She mumbled to herself as if it had happened before. It had, and it was a few months ago.
