Amari was laying on the ground, her head on Oltura's lap, her friend's right hand gently resting on her head, as the other hand soothingly rubbed her back.

-You're awake! Oltura said in agentle tone.

It was morning. Amari lifted her head up to rest it on her friend's shoulder.

-How long was I out for?...She asked, wondering how they had gotten here. The rock they were leaning against when she had fallen asleep in the forest was gone. Instead, they were leaning against a fallen tree near a lake.

-While you were sleeping there were some failed ones nearby, so I carried you to a safer place.

-I'm hungry....Amari complained as she got up and walked

to the lake, dipping her tail inthe water. She waited for a fish to bite then she quickly lifted it up out of the water with the fish still clinging to it.

-I guess this will do for now. She said turning to Oltura who was standing behind her watching her with admiration.

-Let me have a try, Ama! Oltura said exited.

-Stop giving me nicknames! Its embarrassing!

-Oh please! Oltura said loudly as she carefully and quickly caught a big fish with her claws like a bear would.

-Let's eat. She said as she gathered some sticks, sat on the ground and started a fire.

Once the fire was burning steadily they speared the dead fish through the mouth and patiently held them above the fire. Occasionally when one arm got tired the girls would switch the stick to the other hand.

When the delicious odor of grilled fish filled the air they feasted taking turns taking bites from the other's fish or exchanging pieces.

After they were done eating, they both tossed the fish bones into the lake and put the fire out. It was so peaceful, that the girls forgot their dire situation and cuddled for a while enjoying each others company. But they knew this peace wouldn't last long, as they both got up and walked towards the forest Oltura took Amari's hand.

-We passed the secondary exit. Now we are getting closer to the tertiary exit. Its me and you now, Amari. Me and you. Oltura said confidentially as Amari wrapped her right arm around Oltura's back and Oltura followed suit as her arm wrapped itself snug around Amari's waist.

-We will make it out of this place or we'll die trying.

-Don't think like that!

-I'm joking Amari!

-Well, you better be!

Oltura giggled as they marched deep into the forest towards the third exit, ready to face anything, even death or god himself.
