Sergeant Abby was lying on the floor severely injured from the burst of light and the shattered glass. She got up looking for her gun as she trampled through the pile of dead or unconscious bodies of the guards and scientists. She found the exit doors broken open. She knew it was the work of Subject 001 (Oltura) and Subject 004 (Amari).
In that moment she knew she had to use her last resort...Subject 421, the third strongest experiment in the lab, as well as her personal favorite.
Abby was fuming in silent rage, her eyes focused so as to avoid the guards rushing towards the exit to find the escaped experiments (as if they knew what they were dealing with). The military beret that she always wore had somehow gotten lost in the explosion and her short cropped blond hair was bouncing as she ran towards 421's cell.
She approached the door with caution, holding her gun tightly. Before entering the cell she double-checked that her gun was fully loaded.
Whenshe opened the door, as she had expected, the subject rushed towards her but they failed to reach Abby as they were violently pulled back by the chains. Once the subject had seen Abby's face, they had calmed down. They whipped their black hair out of the way, revealing pale blue eyes. Their skin was dark like Amari's, although it was very noticeably lighter.
-Listen let's make a deal. Abby said as she saw 421 calm down.
-What!421 said quietly
-Yougo bring back subject 001 and 004 and MAYBE, I'll let you out. Deal?
-Dead or alive?...
-Alive,but i don't really care if you hurt them...
-Deal!
-Then its settled...She paused as she removed the chains from 421, the barrel of her gun pressed between their shoulder blades in case of betrayal from them, although it was only a "just in case" moment, as 421 was always calm and loyal towards her. It was only after the chains were undone that she pulled her gun away and gently rubbed their back.
-And remember...NO backstabbing
-Fine!...They said as they ran off towards the exit door in search of the the two most dangerous subjects.
