They were flying for hours. Finally, Oltura found a place close to the middle exit of the zombie-infested forest.

Good thing the failed ones are less aggressive when they come out during the day...Oltura thought to herself.

Once she landed safely, she put Amari down (at least she tried) but she ended up falling to the ground.

-Amari...Wake-up! She whispered gently. Amari didn't wake up and Oltura just sighed, huffing over toget some materials to make a camp fire to keep herself and Amari warm.

Good thing there were some sticks near the trees.

Some of them were more humid than others, but she took them none the less. She picked up two small sticks and used the fire plow method she had used for their previous fire. She rubbed the two sticks together as hard and fast as she could, lighting a small spark.

Once a small flame manifested itself on one of the sticks, she gently held it close to the pile. She made sure to cover the fire with her wings until it was strong enough so the wind wouldn't blow it out.

She walked over to the sleeping Amari and carried her in her arms towards the fire.

Once they were close enough Oltura gathered Amari in her lap and wrapped her three pairs of wings around her. Oltura hummed a soothing tune she made up herself.

Something about this girl seemed...comforting for some reason. Never once had she lost control. Her skin texture, her tail: seeing anything that made her look abnormal made Oltura want to know more about her. Surely Amari's truepower wasn't just being some sort of plant hybrid. She sensed something more sinister within her friend. She thought of the possibilities of what secret power might be lurking beneath the surface in this sweet girl as she fell asleep To gain some strength for the night .

It was going to be a long night as they were going to try to breach the secondary exit.
