An Easy Rule: DATE

Greetings again,

This is something I have struggled with a lot and these days I feel like I am back at square one, I don't know if I am, but here's an easy rule to keep in mind if you're a beginner or an amateur.

Dialogue, Action, Thought & Emotion.

DATE.

This will make sense to you the more you get polished with writing fan fictions or actual books.

Defining your character's, especially main's, thoughts (if there are forming any according to either the situation or plot wise), emotion (what they're feeling, from their focus, at the scene which is taking place), action (what they're doing in the very moment of the scene, standing, sitting, looking up or down, whatever, describe it) and finally dialogue without which the story can't run.

Pay special attention to what you're writing as dialogues while keeping in mind the character's persona (and somewhat age too if that's what that matters to your character).

Thank you.

PS: Yes, I made it myself, for myself.
