Greetings again,
Now writing, or literally squeezing song lyrics in a work, I can relate to that because I have done that before myself.
Why?
Because at times I just wanted to and sometimes the scene just improved if I did (in my perspective) or the plot required it.
Now the thing is which I unlocked while writing my most recent work was that whenever you want to give a song, especially a song of your choice in the work but there's no scene or something during which you can squeeze it in, is;
Write the lyrics of the song, which you want to give in the chapter, at the start of the chapter— by that I mean before the material/dialogue of the said chapter starts.
In a way, it will create and set a theme for the chapter.
Also the case of music/song featuring becomes pretty easy when there's a ballroom/dancing scene, character is either playing the song with or without earphones/air pods on or singing it,
In that case you can easily write the lyrics of the song in between the work cause then it becomes a requirement.
Now music which doesn't have lyrics; all I can say is Wattpad allows attaching videos in the header and in the chapter itself so use it and give a note before starting the chapter telling when to play this vid.
Thank you.
